Alexandra had taken her daughter to her brother's house, not wanting to have her daughter going all over the place with her for a few days. She nodded at her brother, only a few years younger than her and he had a kid of his own, now she left her daughter with him.
"It's only until after the Rumble. I'll be back for you the next day."
"I know momma.. I love you."
"I love you too Ash."
"Momma, do what needs to be done to win.. no matter the cost."
"She'll be safe here. Besides.. the joys of having a cop for a brother.. you know she'll be protected."
"I wouldn't put it past some of these losers not to try something. Be safe.. both of you."
Kissing her daughter on the head, she smiled and moved towards her motorcycle. She needed to collect her thoughts, mere days before her match at Rumble in the Bronx. She had to get away, to get some things off her chest and see an old friend. Destination, Reno, Nevada.
The Craze Title, a highly coveted title. One many people have challenged for since as long as she could remember. A title that even some amazingly talented people had gone for and win or lose, they proved that they deserved to be a champion. Going to the limits to prove that a CRAZE TITLE, wasn't a joke. It was time that someone with the same tenacity to take the title and show the world that the Craze Title, was more than a plaything for children, who loved to play pretend. She watched as many challenged for it and lost, the longest reign of those, belonging to the person she actually liked. Tamika Strader, speaking of her...
Alexandra climbed onto her motorcycle in Dallas, hitting the open road. It would take her a full day to make it there, give her plenty of time to think about what she was facing when she made it to New York. She knew a place she could take her mind of things, maybe have a few drinks and prepare mentally for what she was walking into. Hitting the open road was only the first leg of her journey towards the Craze Title and when it was all said and done.. the title would be hers.
Tamika Strader, a strong woman, a competitor she had admired since she first came to OCW. A woman who Alexandra could see as a potential friend. She wished that more of the women she had worked with since first coming into the business back in 1999 could be like Tamika. Tamika had a way that when she stepped into that ring.. you knew that she was going to walk out the winner. The first match Alexandra ever saw Tamika compete in was against someone coming for the Craze Title. A title Tamika had held for quite some time. She watched as people had come at Tamika left and right.. and Tamika left each and every one of them, laying in a pool of sweat, blood and bodily fluids, regretting stepping into the ring with her. If there had been more Women around like Tamika, Alexandra wouldn't have left the industry the first time. Now everyone thinks you need big boobs and blonde hair to make it. But that's not what this was about. This was about a Title, who's legacy was cemented in people who weren't afraid to push the limits.. to do what needed to be done.. no matter the cost.
The sun beat down on her and it had been hours, the sun was lowering in the sky, getting ready to set. It had been a long right, but the day was ending and driving at night was always nice. Stopping off for dinner at a little diner she ran into in Roswell New Mexico, she ordered her food and sat down, thinking back on the history of the Craze Title.
Mark Storm, Alexandra's one time paramour. The first night Alexandra joined the company, she watched as her longtime friend, Mark Storm, tried to win the title from Tamika.. only to disappear off and on, leaving Alexandra confused and alone in a company full of people she didn't know. He had become as pointless as tits on a turtle. After his loss to Tamika at Technical Difficulties.. He practically faded into oblivion... before returning and destroying EVER opportunity Alexandra had after that. It came to a close for him.. when he beat her down in their triple threat with Easton.. Easton managed to get the win.. and for some strange reason.. sided with her later that evening. Storm, faded into oblivion.. the thing he's best known for. Now though.. she has a chance to flip him off in the biggest way. She had thought she was done with that.. but found out.. in the end.. she wasn't. Winning the Craze Title.. the one he couldn't win.. would be the biggest FUCK YOU.
Finishing up her meal, she got back on the road. As she made her way into Arizona, her thoughts came to an old friend and former Craze Champion, Crash Rodriguez.. could she even really call him a friend anymore. But that didn't matter, what did happen to matter was that the man was a fighting champion, taking on anyone who came his way, in the darkest of times for OCW, he held the Craze Title with honor, just like Tamika had.. like she herself WILL do when she wins at Rumble in the Bronx.
Then Crash managed to grasp a massive hold on the title, taking on Tamika all while finding out he was a father. I was never more proud of the man I had eyed to be a member of Paramount.. an amazing man with talent.. who lost himself along the way. Much like she had. But he was a fighting champion.. he had his demons.. ones that it would take a very strong man to fight. And he did it.. there were so many people who came for him, both in the ring.. and on Twitter. Alexandra befriended him.. found someone she could trust.. then he helped start the downfall of Paramount.. ripping everything she had worked so hard for.. out from under her. She had hoped to return after a short time away.. to heal after her injuries. But that was not the case.. instead.. she found the group she helped create destroyed in a display of power. She didn't hate him for making moves.. that's what you do in this industry.. you MAKE people notice you, or you fade into oblivion. This time.. she would take a page out of his book.. then do what he couldn't do.. and destroy Harmon, sending him back to wherever it is he came from, limping and broken. Crash.. a former champion.. who disappeared.. and hasn't been heard of since not long after his loss.. what a shame.. the kid had.. what do they call it.. potential.
Pulling off the road, she found herself at the motel she had planned to stop for the night. She needed to rest or she wouldn't make it the rest of the way to Reno. It was here that she crashed out for the night. When the sun rose in the sky the next morning, Alexandra got up, showered and headed out, stopping for breakfast it was there she saw a commercial on the diner television about the show coming up in just a few days. She'd have enough time for a few days in Reno, then she'd have to head out for New York, via airplane, luckily she had set up for her motorcycle to be transported from Reno, via plane.
The current champion, Harmon, the man who had ended the reign of the great Crash Rodriguez. She couldn't wait to get this man in the ring. She couldn't wait to tear him apart, to make him bleed. She wondered if he had the strength of all those who had come before him, Tamika's tenacity, Storm's relentless recklessness and willingness to destroy himself as well as his opponent, Crash's determination? Did he possess the qualities that they did? Did he have what it took to look the Dark Queen in the eyes and know that she was in fact the END OF ALL HE KNEW AND LOVED. Did he realize that the woman he was standing across the ring from.. didn't care if she broke his neck, so long as she walked out with the Craze Title at the end of the match.. that was all that mattered to her. She had Tamika's tenacity, Storm's relentless recklessness and willingness to destroy himself as well as his opponent, and Crashes determination. Would he be willing to do what must be done? Or would he cower in the corner? From what she had seen of the man, she wasn't impressed. Wow.. he managed to take down a guy who had a lot going on outside of the ring. What could he do against someone who was focused on destroying ANYONE who stood in her way?
Ten hours.. ten hour to Reno. The day seemed to drag on, but it wasn't that bad. She cross through many towns.. including the one she had been born in. Tombstone, Arizona. It was here that she stopped to eat, her mind focused on the goal at hand. Rumble in the Bronx, DESTROY HARMON AND WIN THE CRAZE TITLE. Two hours from Reno, t-minus 96 hours til the Rumble. Alexandra got back on the road, the final stretch.
I watched all this from the shadows, I laid in wait, until the time was right to strike.. and I did it with such a fire that I was named the number one contender for the Craze Title. I took the time to consider all my options. If I had felt like it, I could have allowed Tearra to get one over on me.. for her to be Harmons opponent. But for the first time since joining OCW, I thought about myself. I put myself above others, on a pedestal. I'll make sure that the night wouldn't go as Harmon would no doubt plan for himself. A win and a fuck.. no.. how about a loss and licking his wounds in the dirt were I'll leave him.
Now Entering Reno, Nevada, she pulled off to the side of the road, pulling out her phone, she typed out the address she had been given to contact an old friend of hers. She punched it in finding out she was only about ten minutes away from her final destination.
Claiming my throne happens at Rumble in the Bronx. When I defeat Harmon and send him packing. For now.. I have an old friend to see.. and things to do. She had a title to prepare to win. Defeating Harmon wouldn't be a walk in the park, but she was done being the footnote in someone else's story and when the match was over.. his little world would fall down around him. For in every fairytale.. there's a villain and she would gladly take that role. After all.. the devil has all the best lines. And the loser.. well.. tonight.. the bad guys win.. the Queen takes her throne.. and the poor defenseless little boy.. is sent back into his dream world.. to stay forever to the land she will banish him to. Tonight.. the Dark Queen takes the Kingdom.
Pulling in she saw him standing there. He gave her a wave and a smile as she put the kickstand down and turned the bike off. She slid off and walked over to him, as he pulled her into a hug.
"Aren't you a sight for sore eyes? How the hell are you handsome?"
She looked him up and down.
"It's good to see you Alex. And I'm good."
"Likewise.. it's good to see you too John.."
She gave him a smirk as he placed his hand on her lower back and lead her inside the building.
