Having just come off the heels of a big win, Alexandra was now set to face off against Mike Mason, an impressive man who lost to the resident spirit, Sadie Ko. She walked into the shared locker room, trying to find Sadie, wanting to ask her a few questions, but knowing Sadie, the being wouldn't just be standing around. Once she made her way to the lockers she found Sadie's where the metal of the joined lockers had already started to corrode and rust, and black ichor stains the inside of that locker so that it looks like the night time sky. Inside there was a piece of cloth hanging out of it, with a strange symbol on it. Alexandra tilted her head looking at it. She had seen this symbol before, but where. She dropped her gear bag on the bench and looked at it, her hands slowly moving over the fabric, before she pulled out the journal from her bag and flipped some pages, matching it up with one in it.
"Sadie... Sadie Ko..."
"Sadie..."
The lights flickered and she giggled softly knowing that the being had heard her, her eyes opening and closing slowly, her focus went a bit hazy for a moment, but then cleared, the form of Sadie was crouched atop the locker, hair in her face, eyes peeking out beyond the ebony mess of tresses. Alexandra nodded at the being and took a soft breath. There was nothing for Alexandra to fear, for she posed no threat to the figure in front of her, and if Sadie could sense it, she wasn't here to harm them either. Alexandra held the piece of fabric out to the Onryo and smiled, before speaking, still holding it out to be being in front of her.
"I come to ask you a few questions.. that is.. if you do not mind.."
Alexandra looked at the being in front of her with respect, not fear. There was little to fear, for their time had not come yet, nor would it. Alexandra viewed her more as an ally, than an enemy. After a moment, Sadie spider-climbed off the ladder, and in one smooth transition was walking around Calaway in a stalking manner, though not immediately hostile. Sometimes when the ghost-skinned girl walked beyond Ally's field of vision, she didn't immediately reappear. Sometimes she circled from the other side in a way that defied physics. She wasn't saying anything immediately, but rather waiting for the 'Queen' to speak.
"Mike Mason is a big man.. but you outsmarted him.. I cannot do what you do. Tell me what I should use against someone that.. big.. that corporeal, please?"
She just stared straight forward, looking at the locker in front of her, unable to keep up with where Sadie was. The being was too fast, to quick that her eyes could not focus on the figure she had seen creep down the ladder mere moments ago.
At just that moment, the lights flicker and die, and that small dingy Djibouti locker room that normally collected sweat and humidity, was now so frigid it was possible to see one's breath on every exhale. Behind Alexandra, an impossibly tall figure stood near the back wall, a mess of hair hung down in front of its face. It was like a being of pure shadow, and its right arm was outstretched, finger pointing in a direction and where it was pointing, was sat a CTV monitor currently on where before it hadn't been. She shivered, her breath hanging in the air as she turned to see where the finger was pointing, walking towards the CTV monitor. In her hands the fabric still sat, still not being taken from her, she brought her hands up to her chest as she watched the images unfolding before her.
On the CTV monitor Alexandra is shown images of Mike Mason, through both his football and wrestling careers. Alexandra pays really close attention to the mans wrestling, noticing spot where he could have capitalized on a move to win the match, or where he had the upper hand but relented that control to his opponent while making a brash and unthought out move, which cost him the match. There's a flicker in his eyes that a Veteran such as Alexandra could see, doubt crossed the mans mind. She could see his lack of true confidence. The man did not trust himself with his abilities and all these things could lead to his downfall at her hands.
After a moment the lights flickered back on, and against the back wall was nothing but sports equipment. And balanced on top of a shelf, a thin wooden mop was balanced, its strings hanging down ominously like tendrils from a dead or sleeping creature. And immediately that mop fell, slamming against the concrete floor in such a way that it sounded like it echoed across the entire arena.
"Thank you Sadie."
The scene fades out on Alexandra smirking evilly, still clutching the piece of fabric to her chest as if it was a priceless treasure.
Alexandra is leaned against the wall when her phone goes off the song "Starman" by David Bowie begins to play, she smiles and shakes her head reading the text message she had just recieved. She laughs softly before responding to the person and nodding her head. The camera comes up on her, curious about what she was looking at. She closed her phone before they go close enough to look at it. It was no one's business after all, except hers.
"Well well if it isn't the goon squad coming to get a word from the competitor tonight. Look, what was going on there, is none of your business. You want to know? You can find out when everyone else in OCW and those watching at home do. You see, tonight, I deal with Mason.. now.. is he big? Yes. Should I be scared? Sure. Am I though? No. It doesn't matter how big he is, or what he's done, he couldn't exactly shake Sadie Ko and it became his downfall."
She smirked and the glimmer of the Hellion began to fire up in her eyes and she nodded. The woman she used to be, the one who didn't hold back, the one who would do whatever it took to make her point.. the one who would do whatever it took to win, no matter the cost to herself or her opponent.
"My father didn't raise a ballerina, he didn't raise a Barbie doll. Now while I look good and have all the things I desire, I didn't have to ask daddy for them. I fought for them.. I bled for them. I hurt people, ended careers and found myself a place where I belong. So yes, daddy raised a warrior.. not a little bitch. Which I know you see me as a joke Mike.. but I am far from that. I'm the Dark Queen, the American Witch.. one foot on the wing of the devil.. and the other on land."
Alexandra pulled a torch out of the ground, that was used to light the walk way she was on. This little village was very much like that out of an old explorer movie, no real electricity to use, so with the torch in hand she made her way towards the big banner that had Mike Mason's picture on it. Hers hung across the walkway on the other side, she smiled at it, before looking back up at his. She held the flame close to the fabric of the banner and smiled as it lit on fire, her focus turning back to the camera now.
"I'm sure you've heard the phrase, Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. That's exactly what is going to happen to you tonight. You will be left laying in the dirt. I saw your little promo last madness and might I say, I wanted to barf. A good physique is not all that it takes to win a match. If you want that kind of competition my friend, you should enter a body building competition, or go back to playing football. This is wrestling.. a place where people like me are unafraid of kicking your square head right off your shoulders. And before you ask.. can I get my leg that high? Yes I can."
Alexandra looked up at the burning banner of Mike Mason, a smile crossed her features and she turned, walking away from the fire. The people of the village came out to see the bright flames, noticing where it came from they watched Alexandra as she walked towards the camera as she spoke, like some villain from a fairytale.
"You see, there's a phrase I grew up hearing all the time, and I think it works for this moment. The bigger they are.. the harder they fall. So go on Mike.. underestimate me. You see there's a reason I'm facing you and not Sadie this week. I'm facing you because you are second best.. and after I beat you.. the sky is the limit. People like to think they don't make mistakes, I've made many of them in my time, a lot of them actually. That's the thing, I can see where you make your mistakes and unlike you.. I'll capitalize on them. I'm not going to beat around the bush, when we do face off in that ring.. you'll know exactly the woman I am."
Alexandra turned around to see the once beautiful banner that had Mike's image on it, burned down to the stick it had been on, cinders falling around it on the dirt around it, the last tattered piece that hung there was of Mike's eyes. She took a breath and looked into the camera once more, knowing that she had already started to destroy his self esteem. It had been damaged during his loss to Sadie, Alexandra was going to finish it and send him packing back to football.
"People bring up the word destiny a lot. Well this is my destiny.. I've been doing this longer than most people here and just the same.. I've seen men like you come and go all the while, I'm still here. I'll be on top, while you are still clawing at the ground trying to get a foothold. This isn't just my destiny.. it's my LEGACY. I've been in this industry forever and I'll be remembered for Centuries. Hell people still talk about me in companies I've left in the dust. I'm well remembered and tonight you will see why they remember me as much as they do."
With all that out of the way, she took this time to head off into the darkness of the village around the huts they were assigned to. She took a soft breath, she turned to the torch she held, blowing it out, her eyes turned upwards to where she could see the night sky in all it's glory.
"There's a Starman waiting in the sky. He'd like to come and meet us, but he thinks he'd blow our minds. There's a Starman waiting in the sky. He's told us not to blow it, 'cause he knows it's all worthwhile..."
She walked off the scene singing the song, her hand on her chest, her head turned up towards the sky, as the camera followed her view to look at the stars above. Fade To Black.
"Sadie... Sadie Ko..."
"Sadie..."
