Narrator: ”Needless to say, the past couple of days have been quite good for “The Next Generation God”. Not only has he made the successful move across the pond, but he has also seemed to have found himself once arriving. No longer was he calling his uncle, questioning what he felt he should be doing. Nor was he taking his father's verbal abuse. Now, he is walking with a swagger that seemed to be lacking before, despite his previous victories in another company, he was set to debut in Online Championship Wrestling for the second time. Now residing, in a country where his father's shadow loomed rather large around him, KC3 felt as though he had already stepped out of that shadow and become his own man. Monday night, April 7th, is his chance to prove it, not only to himself, but to the world, as he would travel back to the States .”
The moon hangs high in the English sky. Even with the mostly cloudy sky, the brilliant illumination from the moon fights through. Sitting on a bench in the middle of the night is KC3 himself. His gaze seems like it is anywhere but right where he is in this moment of time. Even though it is 1:30 in the morning, Davison isn't tired. His body still hasn't adjusted to the time zone differential, and he has all the energy in the world. Still, he sits entranced, minding his own business as though no one else is there. Despite his apparent stasis, he is accutely aware of the camera crew hovering near by, as he had asked them to be there at that time.
KC3: ”Bruce Lee believed that water is the strongest of all the elements. One day, Bruce Lee was sailing, when in anger, he punched the surface of the water. He had an epiphany. At that moment, it hit him. He struck the water and... nothing. The water did not hurt, did not suffer. He then attempted to grab a hold of that water, but the water refused to be held. Water, which could be held by the smallest vessel, was also capable of eroding away solid granite over time. It was strong when it appeared weak. He believed that water should be the essence of the martial arts he practiced, and I believe that also applies to wrestling.”
Davison's voice trails off as he finishes the sentence. He turns his attention upward, as the rustling of leaves on a nearby tree catches his attention. A leaf falls, and by pure luck, lands directly on Davison's extended palm. He stares at a moment before blowing it out of his hand, forcing it to land soundlessly in front of him.
KC3: ”However, I would beg to differ with Mr. Lee. You see, in my estimation, the wind is far more powerful. Just as energy can be harnessed from a flowing stream, power can be harnessed from a passing breeze. Both elements can cause erosion. But, there are two major differences. Although water can take the shape of whatever container it is in, the fact of the matter is, it can be contained. Further more, I ask a question of my opponents, can you see the wind?”
Davison sighs, expressing his disgust with a slight change of his expression.
KC3: ”Of course you can't. You can feel the effects of the wind, but you cannot see the wind. By my esitmation, there are several things that makes the wind more powerful that water. Just as energy can be gathered from the water currents, so too, can power be garnered from the air currents. Like water, wind can also create massive amounts of destruction is just a short span of time. Unlike water, however, the wind cannot be seen, and further more, cannot be contained. In a short amount of time, Online Championship Wrestling will see that I am more powerful than the tornado that ripped through Billings a few years back.”
“To call someone like myself a rookie is almost unfair. Even though I have only been wrestling since January, I have a lifetime of knowledge. I spent my childhood in the business. I grew up watching the likes of Mario Marauko with my own eyes. I am not just a second generation wrestler, I am a child of this business. I was learning the basics when I was in elementary school. I was helping set up rings before I was a teenager. I am the son of “Godly” Ken Davison. I have a name... I have a reputation to live up to. Being a legacy isn't easy. You know what else wasn't easy? Life without my father. And that...” Davison snorts in disgust. ”...that is because of one person.. Carey...”
The surname of the “Queen of Epicness” slides off his tongue with a venom and vitriol that can almost be felt.
KC3: ”But I will get to her when it is time. Rest assured, Ms. Carey, that your time is coming. Every second that passes... every grain of sand that falls through the hourglass... every thought you have during the day and every sugarplum that dances in your head at night... each of those things does nothing more than bring you closer to answering to me.”
“Now, this brings me to my match this week. Finally, we will see the grand debut of the “Next Generation God” K. Carlton Davison III here in Online Championship Wrestling. Most people would be more than a little upset at having to go from facing one opponent to facing off against ten opponents. Most people would be outraged by this. I see the value in things that other people fail to. Most people would be immersed in feelings of trepidation... perhaps even fear. But not I. This is my chance to not only survive, but to thrive. I have the opportunity to outshine ten of OCW's brightest stars of the future. More accurately, I have the opportunity to snuff out the oh so bright future's of so many men.”
“I tried, I honestly tried, to get myself excited for this match. I tried to do my research so that I could fully understand the proverbial minefield that I am walking in to. What happens when you try to find anything about PerZag? Zilch. B Minus? Nothing about wrestling. I tried to find out about Kobra and got a bunch of garbage about the Mortal Kombat character. That's ten shades of useless. James Carson is apparently a very skilled pianist. Brian Cady is either a doctor or a sports radio personality that got fired. Jason Xavier... Trent Collins.. Jayson Price... it was like trying to find the Invisible Man.”
“When I got to “The Confederate Icon” Chad Vargas... man, oh man, did I hit the mother load. I found a website that was designed by a middle school student in the mid 90s. I found the long list of his title history, his life story, his listing being banned from three companies... now THAT was a nice touch. Here's my issue with that, homeboy. The past is the past. This business, so much more than any other, runs off of the “what have you done for me lateley?” concept. Everything you have done, hell anything any of us has done before coming to the OCW means absolutely nothing... zilch... zero... nada nothing.”
“When all is said and done, I will show my worth to this company. Then, I will take the next step and become the OCW Internet Champion. TAKE NOTICE!!!”
The scene fades out.
