OOC:- Here's too a nice little CD to get the character Gideon Cross going here in OCW after the Christmas break, something for me to work off of and continue to allow Cross to be built, so with that being said I really hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it up.
- Gabe.
Cross Manor Estates: Gideon’s Gaming room.
Anaheim, California, U.S.
As the scene fades in we come to see Online Championship Wrestling’s latest and greatest signee and probably the one talent that cost an arm and a leg to get him signed, then again probably not, any who, that individual being none other than yours Truly GIDEON CROSS. Cross can be seen relaxed sitting inside his gaming room on that of his red leather couch, the youngster can be seen staring into his 146 INCH customized Alienware curved gaming monitor, playing Fortnite while his butler/manservant Caledon Young can be seen going over the details of his newly issued OCW contract at a nearby desk.
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm sir, could you please remind me what possible qualifications you have for this job?”
Gideon pauses with his game play after just getting a headshot off another player in the game.
GIDEON CROSS
“Score, umm so Caledon what was your question again, sorry I kinda got caught up in the moment you know…”
CALEDON YOUNG
“What I had said, master Gideon, was what possibly qualifies you for this job?”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well Caledon, the way I see it is I have a wrestling school degree, you know the one I received from last summer, the very one that is framed and prominently displayed in the living room, that to me is the perfect qualification for a job as a professional wrestler with a wrestling promotion wouldn’t you agree?”
Laughing, Caledon replies back to his employer.
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm yes, Master Gideon, your wrestling training lasted for only a few months and it was more of a wrestling fantasy camp than anything if I do recall that your parents had paid for due to you being a wrestling fan..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Caledon, I trained in the Everhart dungeon and it was under the supervision of the great Leon Everhart of the Everhart family if you don’t recall, so yea only a few months is all you need to be honest with you…”
Caledon burst into laughter at the nonsense he had just heard.
CALEDON YOUNG
“I hate to break it to you Gideon, but Leon Everhart died in 2015, you were only 16 at the time so that’s impossible…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Listen here, Caledon! I know you like to crush dreams! You’ve been doing it since I was six and I am just a few months away from turning twenty-three, so yea… you’re not crushin’ this dream of mine, NOT NOW, NOT TOMORROW, NOT EVER, Got it?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“But Gideon…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Like I said I know where I trained and who I trained with! It was in a dark room in Miami and I was stretched and put through torture for over a few months by that devious and miserable evil man! Somethin’ you yourself wouldn’t last four seconds doing, Caledon!”
Gideon says in annoyance.
CALEDON YOUNG
“But sir, your training didn’t even take place in Miami, hell it didn’t take place in no training facility nor by any wrestling legend... As a matter of fact, you just held yourself up in the basement of this very mansion for a few months refusing to talk to anyone, watching old wrestling tapes and playing video games and reading comic books. I have suspicions that you just went online and printed off some wrestling school degree you found while browsing the internet.”
Caught off guard with what Caledon had just said, Gideon nods in agreement with his butler/manservant before backtracking his acknowledgment of what he had just agreed too..
GIDEON CROSS
“That's obscured and even cringe worthy to even think or say that about your bestest friend Caledon!”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm… sir I’m not your bestest friend, that would be your schoolmate Chase Savage, I’m just your family’s hired help sir!”
GIDEON CROSS
“That’s nonsense Caledon, you’ve been my bestest friend since I can remember, look, Caledon I know you think it’s fun to play pranks and tricks twenty-two year old Gideon here, who you’ve known for so many years! But I paid good money! I earned that degree and not you, not anyone is goin’ to take it away from me, understand?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“You bought that degree?”
GIDEON CROSS
“Bought and earned are synonyms in the world of the great family that is the Cross’!”
CALEDON YOUNG
“I don’t quite know how I put up with you sir…anyway back to examining.”
As Caledon continues to pursue the presumably ironclad contract sent to the Cross residence by Online Championship Wrestling, as Gideon goes back to his Fortnite game… clearly the skills of a seasoned wrestler.
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm... yea Gideon, I hate to be the downer in this current situation but there’s a lot of talk in here about Online Championship Wrestling being free of any responsibility if you get hurt. And quite honestly, I don’t think that you are properly prepared to actually set foot inside a wrestling ring, let alone a wrestling promotion of this caliber…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Caledon, you’re speaking to the six time World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Champion, yes me, the one and only GIDEON F’N CROSS of Anaheim, California who’s known for his mystical Dark Elve Boleras Theleth the GREAT!”
Gideon says as he gets another headshot kill as he continues to brag about his impressive resume. As he does Heaven comes walking up from the downstairs area.
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Wha.. what happened now?”
Laughing Caledon replies back.
CALEDON YOUNG
“We’ll Ms. De la Cruz, your boyfriend here believes he’s prepared to take part in this OCW promotion…”
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Well why wouldn’t he be?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Ugh.. he’s had no proper training, so can you please talk some sense into him, seems like you’re the only one who can only do so nowadays anyways..”
Before Alexandria can say anything Gideon buts in.
GIDEON CROSS
“So Caledon now you are tryin’ to convince my very own girlfriend that I don’t have the caliber for Online Championship, well quit while you are a head as did you forget I also am an experienced mixed martial artist having trained under that of the GREEEEEEEEATEST mixed martial artist EEEEEVA Anderson Silva when I was only six years old…”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm.. no you didn’t Gideon, that was the video game UFC: Sudden Impact that you played…”
Frustrated with what he had just heard, Caledon looks back over at Alexandria, Gideon’s girlfriend in desperation for her to plead with her boyfriend before he does something stupid.
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Don’t you get me involved in this Caledon, you heard what he had just said..”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Yes, but Ms. De la Cruz, Master Ryu is a fictitious video game character in the video game Street Fighter..”
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Honestly I don’t believe you, Caledon, just sayin’ is all..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Also lets not forget the thousands of backyard wrestling matches I’ve done on the trampoline and in that of my pool with Chase, Preston and Damien… So yea I do believe that’s all the training I need to be accepted into Online Championship Wrestling!”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm, I just don’t see how that qualifies you to compete for this wrestling promotion Gideon, all those things you named off are of video games sir…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well you’re not the one who gets to decide that now are you Caledon?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“No I… I’m just worried you could get seriously hurt sir, you’ll be going up against actual athletes who’ve got years of training under their belts…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Wooooah…. Wooooah… woah, let me stop you right there Caledon, actual athletes?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Oh great, just when I thought..”
Looking at Caledon with a more serious look, Gideon pauses his game once again.
GIDEON CROSS
“Actual athletes, I’m an actual athlete, hell look at these guns of fury, Caledon.”
Gideon says pointing at his muscles.
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm… more like chicken wings sir!”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well who asked you anyways… plus it’s not like my family’s health insurance can’t prevent that, after all that’s what it’s there for right?”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Not exactly but…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well don’t worry about it Caledon, after all, that’s not what you’re being paid to do anyways so hurry up and get through that damn contract of mine so I can sign off on it finally…”
CALEDON YOUNG
“I.. I’m almost done with it now Gideon sir..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Oh and Caledon, once you get to all the extra goodies like signing bonuses, merchandise deals etc. let me know as I requested a certain detail in my contract…”
CALEDON YOUNG
“You requested an action figure of yourself to be done as soon as the deal was made and all parties agreed to it?”
Smiling, Gideon nods.
GIDEON CROSS
“I sure did Caledon my main man and boy am I excited about having my very own action figure, something many wrestlers don’t get the chance to have, but you know when OCW heard about me, they couldn’t resist adding that little detail into my contract.”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Really sir, I do not understand how a man of your experience and nature can warrant a contract such as this.”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well Caledon, it’s just business is all…”
CALEDON YOUNG
“Umm… no sir, anyone with half a brain would see through this little scheme of yours, you must have paid them a hefty amount to even consider this…
GIDEON CROSS
“Like I said Caledon, in the Cross family… The words bought and earned mean the same thing and to be quite honest with you anyone with enough business smarts would understand that, obviously something you don’t have at all…
Gideon says that the scene slowly fades out to darkness as he can be seen going back to playing that of his Fortnite video game.
Poolside, Cross Manor Estates
Anaheim, California, U.S.
A few hours had passed by since Gideon had left his gaming room to go train, as we returned to well, him sitting poolside, relaxing and enjoying the cool breeze from the pool water. Cross adjusts himself in his seat, leaning forward and articulating some thoughts.
GIDEON CROSS
“About fuckin’ time bruh!”
Cross says as his friend Chase Savage walks on over to him.
CHASE SAVAGE
“Yea, yea traffic was horrid bruh, just horrid..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Seriously bruh?”
CHASE SAVAGE
“Yea bruh, just horrid.”
GIDEON CROSS
“Why horrid?”
Cross questions as he reaches over and grabs a soda; specifically a Mountain Dew: Code Red from his ice chest, as he does he cracks it open and takes a sip out of it.
GIDEON CROSS
“Now that’s just refreshin’, bruh! So what happened bruh?”
CHASE SAVAGE
“A street race involving two nimrods racin’ one another..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Seriously Bruh?”
CHASE SAVAGE
“Yea bruh…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well that’s too bad, c’mon now bruh you’re here now so lets get in on some Street Fighter II now shall we?”
CHASE SAVAGE
“Yea bruh, totally..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well c’mon bruh lets go get our game on, well it’ll be a warm up for me as you know I’m just the best when it comes to Street Fighter so yea…”
Gideon said as he and his boy Chase walked down a hallway within his home past various abstract works of art, and a statue of some priceless piece piece of shit that his parents considered art that they had just purchased not too long ago made completely out of gold that he didn’t seem to want to look directly at for some reason as he passed by.
CHASE SAVAGE
“Bruh you okay?”
GIDEON CROSS
“Ye.. yea.. Why you askin’ bruh?”
Gideon could be heard replying back with hesitation in his voice.
CHASE SAVAGE
“I don’t know you just seemed kinda off when we had walked past that piece of art is all.”
GIDEON CROSS
“Whaaaat.. You’re not serious right now right bruh?”
He questions as he and Chase take up residence on a red colored couch in Gideon’s gaming room as he sets up his Playstation 5.
CHASE SAVAGE
“Nah bruh I’m not bein’ serious, just joshing you bruh, lighten up a little bit bruh..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Your right bruh this whole debut within OCW got me stressin’, hell not even my latest modeling gig had me stressin’ like this place bruh..”
CHASE SAVAGE
“But why it’s not like you don’t already have the match in the bag, after all bruh you’re perfect well at least the females seem to think you are..”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well that maybe true, I mean, after all I do be killin’ boulders with pinpoint accuracy.”
As Cross says that his longtime girlfriend Alexandria De la Cruz comes walking in, just as he’s about to hit a critical strike on his best friend Chase, though before he can he gets distracted by Alexandria mocking him with what he had just said..
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Boulders with pinpoint accuracy eh Bash, might as well blow Chase there a kiss while you’re at it, that’s the cheesiest thing I’ve ever heard you say, more so than when you said ‘Bear with me, the nights just gettin’ started..”
As Alexandria says that, Gideon is hit with a devastating blow, as he is, he pauses mid game and looks up at his girlfriend Alexandria, shaking his head as she looks down at him from where she’s standing within the doorway of his gaming room.
GIDEON CROSS
“Ugh really?”
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“Well, it was babe, it was really corny to be honest, cute, but corny, but I still love you, you know. Plus Chase never wins against you…”
GIDEON CROSS
“..And that’s my fault, how?”
ALEXANDRIA DE LA CRUZ
“I didn’t babe, but it’s true he neever really does unless you allow him too…”
GIDEON CROSS
“Well you did it Chase..”
Gideon says admitting his best friend had beat him, something he rarely ever does or says, before continuing on.
GIDEON CROSS
“C’mon Chase just end me already bruh, as I think I’m going to go train, after all I do want to win come my debut within OCW and not be some loser or some has-been tryin’ to relive their glory days when they actually mattered.. Then again it’s no secret OCW really got a steal when they signed me to a contract deal with them, you could say it was the perfect way to end 2021 and start 2022 off, you know right?”
Gideon says as he gets on up from where he’s sitting to go train, leaving many unanswered questions unanswered as his debut within Online Championship Wrestling approaches.
