[The overhead lights of a gym turn on. The dust on the floor and equipment so thick you could write a novel in it. Kobra pulls off his hood letting his hair drape his shoulders a cooler in one hand and a open beer in the other his gym bag strap rest across his chest his hands already taped up and ready for a work out. As he walks toward the rope slackened ring in the middle of the gym floor he pauses as the camera pans to the front of him as he takes a swig from his beer. He approaches the ring and sets his cooler down on the apron. He opens it up as he sets his bag on the ground the clinking of tools echoes off the high ceilings as he finds a large wrench. He steps onto the apron and begins to tighten the turnbuckles one by one. ]

You know it has been some time since I set foot in this gym let alone this ring. I had my first show right here, years ago wrestling under the independent banners that rented this space week or month in and month out. Oakland California is known as one of the most violent cities in the world and I am no exception to that. So why wouldn’t I enjoy the sweat and blood it takes to be in this business? I can’t stress enough how much being inside this ring has changed me. This is my home this is my yard and no one can take those feelings away from me. April 7th will be a true test of my ability returning to the ring to face off with ten other OCW stars for the chance of a lifetime a shot at not only a pay-per-view match but the OCW Internet Championship. I have to say in my years in this business I have had some hard task thrown my way from having to recover from career and even life threatening injuries to having to take on a monster to debut. This is a match I’m no stranger too I will have to give that fair warning. This beer drinking, hard sweating, and blood pouring hard working man is going to show the fans I’m back in full force!
[Kobra stops tightening the turnbuckles and finishes off his beer. He then gets back to work on the ropes now the ring begins to take that just right tight feel of a ring. ]

You know each time I come back to this city I remember going to the bar-bar-ques in the back yards and the entire neighborhood thinking these rednecks had no right in the city of gangs and raiders. I hail from Oakland to this day it was the place I grew up, well at least spent my later teen years. My father once told me drink deep because you never know where the road will take ya. The road took us to a lot of places but in the end I found wrestling was my passion and the only outlet that allowed me to show the world what potential I had I was no long that awkwardly big guy in the halls at school anymore I was Kobra and on those nights that I had my hand raised and the mat was covered in my sweat and my blood it was my pride that grew and in turn my ability. The first time I heard my name chanted through this gym I felt that surge of power that drives me to this day. It stayed in my mind while I laid in hospital bed after hospital bed reconsidering my career choice and my future. In the end it is heart that keeps you going. Heart and beer!
[The ropes of the ring finished Kobra steps out of the ring. He grabs up his gym bag and heads to the locker room area. Kobra stops as he sees a old dusty poster of himself.]

This right here is roots. This is the foundation that began my long life on the road under what ever banner would take me. An open challenge that back fired on me and ended in a ten man battle royal to determine the Oakland Elite Champion and prove that the fresh out of school kid couldn’t hang with the big boys. This coming Massacre I’ll have a similar challenge in my debut. Ten other wrestlers will step into a ring with me and ten other wrestlers will bring with them their drive and determination and I’m willing to bet I’m the only one bringing the beer.
[Kobra steps into the locker room then into the small office with in the locker room. He sets the gym bag on the floor and turns on a desk lap. He pulls out a few vanilla folders and of course a six pack. Taking one beer he puts the rest in a mini-fridge that sets behind him. Kobra pops the top and takes a deep drink.]
..::Kobra::..
Ahh… Drink deep boys. This is my office the future of my investment lays within these folders. See what I consider some pretty damn important stuff and this is how I spent my signing bonus right here at the same place I spent my youth in the most important location of my career up ta now.
[Kobra opens the first fold and as he thumbs through it a picture of Chad Vargas. He let’s the pages fall back into the folder and takes another drink of beer.]
..::Kobra::..
Look at the end of the day I’m not that kid anymore. I’m not in that ring with rookies from the local high schools and colleges. This time I’m in the ring with pure talent and the drive of a man who has the talent to back it up doesn’t mind a little sweat or blood in that ring. This man for instance "The Confederate Icon" Chad Vargas this guy isn’t a new comer to the ring. See Mr. Vargas has a little talent for being the slippery one in the ring and his skill is just as good in the ring as his ability to pull the surprise win out of nowhere simply by capitalizing on the actions of others. That’s something you have got to respect a guy who can sit back and wait then use one of his signature moves when the others have done all the work. Hell I’m fine with that I get to whip some ass and not have to take the risk of attempting a pin. It’s not about how many pins or submissions I get it is about getting the last one. Quite frankly to beer drinking confederate flag flying guys beating the shit out of each other for a shot at the Internet Championship. Man you gotta love that idea!
[ Kobra finishes off his beer then grabs another one. He pops the top and drinks deep then rotates the folders to the next in the stack.]
..::Kobra::..
This one is what would seem to be another possible issue a damn monster is what he looks like to me. Big J or “The Hardcore Enigma” if you wish to call him by his nickname. See in my experience of one of my favorite match stipulations the street fight these guys are nothing more than a brick wall. But see a brick wall has it’s own weaknesses and that’s the strength of the man swinging the hammer. I’m one strong son of a bitch and I’ll tell ya when I swing the hammer the wall falls. In this match however I won’t have a hammer and the brick wall will still need to come down. Standing 6 foot and weighing over 300 pounds sounds like one hell of a work out to me. Tell ya what Big J I’m looking forward to being thrown into the frying pan and I promise those fans will see what the big fella has to offer in that ring. I think that will be a goal of mine on the 7th of April to push the monster Big J to the limits. Tell ya what Vargas you can even have the pin.
[ Kobra tips his beer to the camera and takes a drink.]

These folders contain information on a few of my opponents. These folders I found laying around just happens to be what some of my old co-wrestlers would say is a little to much coming into such a big match. My mentor would have told me to go in a just kick some ass what is the fun in knowing your opponent when there is going to be bodies flying everywhere. [Kobra gives a little chuckle and takes a sip.] See I don’t have these folders to look at everything these guys can do I’m looking for a challenge I’m looking for who could give the fans the best match. This isn’t about knowing everything about them this is more of a visual profile with some career highlights even if my source did over achieve a little when it came to the about of information I gathered. Signing bonus spent well if you ask me between this place and a bag full of information the six pack was just the cherry on top. This match has got me looking toward the future and well my idea of thinking a head is running in with a head of steam and rolling through my present. I’m not saying that I’m the top guy here I’m not saying I even deserve such a huge chance this is simply a chance early in my career with OCW to shine. To show what the hell I can do when the odds are stacked against me. I’m quick, I’m big, I’m strong, but the most important is I have something to prove to this place and I plan on making a lot of examples in that ring Monday night.
[ Shuffling through the small stack of folders Kobra pulls one of a slightly darker color out of the stack and of course takes another sip of his beer.]
..::Kobra::..
This is the future I’m looking forward to and by far is one of the most talented guys in the locker room.
[Kobra holds up a closed folder with picture of Syren paper clipped to the front. Scene Fades to Black.]
