As the opening music for PennyLord’s Playpit begins, new titles pop up with a kid friendly look to them but still that hint of sinister. Suddenly a very familiar giggle is heard. And then the screen goes black and the voice of PennyLord welcomes us in voiceover.
PennyLord: Well hello my little PennyLord Peeps! And welcome to Episode TWO of PennyLord’s Playpit!
The sound of kids cheering plays as PennyLord giggles. The screen then begins to fizzle and our favourite clown appears on our screens with a huge grin on his face. PennyLass however is nowhere to be seen.
PennyLord: Now……it’s almost time for my favourite time of year - Halloween! Hehehehe!! Ohhh I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!!! HALLOWEEN!!!!!!! It’s the one time of year that I can scare people…..
PennyLord puts his hand to his cheek in an exaggerated whisper gesture and whispers to the camera.
PennyLord: ……….And they don’t try to sue!
PennyLord then winks at the camera before continuing.
PennyLord: Now, boys and girls…. I’ve only gone and lost PennyLass!!
The sound of kids gasping and booing plays as PennyLord looks sad.
PennyLord: I know that she’s down here in the Playpit somewhere!! Can you help me find her?
The screen fizzles into the Playpit background as the sound of kids saying ‘yes!’ plays. Inside the sewer, there is a waterfall running down and PennyLass peeks her head out from behind it with a giggle and a ‘ssh!’ gesture to the screen. The sound of kids giggling and saying ‘She’s over there!’ plays and PennyLord looks over his shoulder towards the waterfall but as he does so, he stares at nothing. PennyLass is gone.
PennyLord: Where?
PennyLord looks back towards the camera.
PennyLord: This is getting silly now…. I really can’t find her. And I’m getting a hungry PennyLord!!
Within the sewer there is also a sofa (supposedly where the two clowns sit of an evening to watch TV, who knows?) and from behind the sofa PennyLass peeks her head up, once again sshing the camera. The sound of kids giggling plays again and this time they say ‘she’s behind you, PennyLord!!’ But once again when PennyLord looks over towards the sofa, he stares at absolutely nothing at all.
PennyLord: My PennyLord Peeps wouldn’t be playing a joke on their Uncle PennyLord would they?!!
PennyLord then looks towards the camera with a brief look of sinister hunger. His eyes flash amber.
PennyLord: Because otherwise I am going to have to make you all FLOAT down here with me so that later I might FEAST ON YOUR FEAR!!! Hehehehehehehehehehehe!!!
As quick as the sinister gaze appears, along with the amber eyes, it disappears along with them and his eyes return to their usual brown. Suddenly from behind PennyLord, PennyLass creeps out from her most recent hiding place (wherever that was after the sofa). She looks towards the camera, once again with a shush as the kids giggling plays again.
PennyLord: PennyLass!! Oh, PennyLass! Where are yoooooouuuuuu?

PennyLass: BOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PennyLord screams and PennyLass giggles. Suddenly PennyLord isn’t in his wheelchair and PennyLass points upwards, giggling like Mutley. The camera pans upwards to find PennyLord hanging in a very perilous position. He then looks at the camera with a slight scowl.
PennyLord: Oh!! Very funny, PennyLass!! Very funny indeed.
PennyLass: Well, it is halloween! See ya next time, boys n girls!!!!!
The camera fades to black on PennyLass waving.
