Scene 1
You Think I am CRAZEd
Cameras : ON
Ciela Luiz paced back and forth as she smirked and looked at the camera. Her face contorted to an almost maniacal look. ”The Craze Championship is a little bit of a fun place to start. Is this what people think of me since I knocked Makayla down a few pegs and aligned myself with my mother, Estrella? Do they really think I am some crazed lunatic who would stop at nothing to win? That I am someone who would put my own body on the line and use the last of my limbs to win a damned wrestling match?”
Ciela reached behind a pile of rubble as she pulled out a lead pipe, presumably the one made famous by her mother during an old title reign. She smacked the pipe against her hand slightly as she looked at the camera. ”That isn’t quite true. I will put my OPPONENTS body through hell first. That all begins with Lexi Gold. You see, the only gold Lexi will be seeing are the stars when my friend here meets her face. I will not allow an uncontracted worker to beat me. What kind of OCW representative would I be if I did?”
Ciela paced the unknown area a bit as she came to a boulder. She hopped up and had a seat on it. The camera panned to a vast wasteland, one that looked to be right out of a Mad Max or Zombie Apocalypse movie. Ciela looked into the distance at the setting sun, the colors all mixing into a light pink to dark black gradient. Ciela licked her lips slightly before speaking again. Lexi, I think I understand now how the nothingness in your life feels. You feel a void and you are trying to feel it. I get that. When I got stuck in this time period, I felt a void too. I wanted to badly to be in the OCW ranks and what did I do? I grabbed the attention and the hearts of some pathetic people who wanted a sense of belonging. The Green Moblins did my dirty work as I forced my way into the ranks. I look at the roster and I see a lot of deserving men and women. Men like Jason Cashe. This roster is stacked honey and well, one of these things just doesn’t belong here and that thing is you. You are Gold in name but I will be damned if you get a shot at gold at my expense. The knowledge I have extends far beyond the world and time that you know. I know what the future holds but I like to make people wiggle and wait and worry. I like seeing the look on my opponents face knowing that they know that I can snap them in half. I am so sick and tired of the false sense of entitlement people like Lexi Gold exude. You are nothing and you will always be nothing.”
Ciela hopped down from the boulder and carried her pipe a bit further as she came to a bonfire, presumably one she had started. She reached in a locked case and pulled out a glossy piece of paper. The camera zoomed in to reveal a headshot of Lexi Gold. Ciela looked at it as her face twisted once again, this time to a look of disgust. She crinkled the paper between her slender fingers as she spoke again, this time a little more enthusiastically. ”I am sick and tired of the Matell Barbie doll factory, cookie cutter, copy and paste blonde bimbos in this business. Nothing is worse than someone who is unoriginal and you Lexi, are just that, unoriginal. You like snakes? So do many people in this world. You bleach your hair on account that you are embarrassed by your natural hair color. Before you bring up my dyed hair, I dye mine for fun not to feel like a one in five barbie doll. You are not a collector’s item Lexi, you are the Barbie that is naked lying in the toy box for ages that the little girl no longer wants. You are the forgotten and can you blame us? What about you is fun or unique? You are nothing more than a Dollar Tree brand Chelsea Leclair. Quite simply put you can’t hack it in OCW and Jason proved that a while back. When he earned his contract over you, he proved you are nothing special and I will do the same this week. I will put your contract talks with OCW in the fire where it belongs.”
Ciela tossed the picture into the fire as black smoke rose above the orange flames. Ciela nodded as she turned and walked away dragging the lead pipe through the dirt and dust. She turned around and smirked as she spoke matter of factly. ”Lexi Gold, welcome to your final demise. I may not kill you but when all is said and done, you will wish you were dead as you feel the aches and pains and you are eating through a God damned straw. If need be, I can make Massacre live up to it’s namesake. Is that what you want Lexi? Think long and hard before “5 out of 6” ever starts up over the PA system. Welcome to your demise, Miss Gold. Dylan Thomas, I will see you soon!”
Ciela turned and continued walking as the scene faded to black. We could still hear Ciela whistling as the scene ended.
Scene 2
Like Mother, Like Daughter
Cameras : OFF
Ciela Luiz sat alongside her mother playing the promo she had recorded for Massacre. As the scene ended Estrella sat, mouth agape, looking at the now blank screen. Ciela looked at her mother. ”Too much?”
Estrella snapped back to reality as she answered. ”It isn’t that. I think the promo had a nice overall feel and you took my advice of saying mean words. I just am shocked you had Rusty. I thought I had hidden him well.”
Ciela’s eyes darted up as she spoke again. ”Life showed me where he was at.”
Estrella’s eyes darted up as the camera followed to show Life, the mountain of a man that Estrella called a friend and bodyguard. He looked down at her and shrugged nonchalantly. ”Your daughter, not mine.”
Estrella rolled her eyes as she looked back at Ciela. ”With great power comes great responsibility. You see, Rusty is to be used only on those who deserve it. Only certain people deserve to feel the cold steel against their heads. Lexi Gold is a fighter and a bitch but is she worthy of Rusty touching her? Does she deserve that distinct honor of bringing Rusty out of retirement? Think long and hard on it. Meditate on it. See what Rusty thinks himself.”
Ciela looked at her mother with a deadpanned blank stare. ”You want me to talk to a lead pipe? You want me to ask a pipe who deserves a fucking beat down? Mom, I know our family is nuts but are we really that crazy? Are we crazy enough to speak to inanimate objects? Are we that kind of crazy?”
Estrella scooted closer to her daughter. She whispered into Ciela’s ear lightly. ”In this world, only the crazed survive. Only those who are a little off kilter are able to use and manipulate people to the extent needed to succeed.” Estrella changed back to her actual voice volume. ”You got a taste of that when you tugged at the heartstrings of what would become the Green Moblins and got signed to OCW. You used them to get ahead like a cult leader drives their followers to drink the Kool Aid. You will be the downfall of many in OCW and in the world of wrestling in general. It is in your blood. It is always going to be just below the surface in your head and in your heart. You will soon know all of the secrets hidden below the surface.”
Estrella’s phone rang. The contact simply read “Mule” as she answered it. ”Yes?” The voice on the other end of the line was inaudible. Estrella’s face turned to a look of anger as she stood up and began shouting. ”What the hell do you mean? You had one job to do and you didn’t do it? Do you want to end up like your no good brother did? That is your fate unless you fix the ties that bind us to them. You will end up missing and no one will find you… ever. Got it?”
Estrella hung her phone up as Ciela looked on in a confused manner. ”Mom.. What the hell was that?”
Estrella looked down at her seated daughter as she spoke softly. ”As I said, soon you will know what lies beneath the surface. All you need to know for now is that wrestling isn’t the only family business. There are ways I have made my wealth but we are not safe discussing it here. Later. For now, I have to run an errand and handle some things. You focus on wrestling and I will cut you in later.”
Estrella walked out the door, her hips switching with each step as Ciela looked up at Life. Life nodded and placed a hand on Ciela’s shoulder as he followed Estrella. Ciela was now concerned for the well being of her mother, herself, and whomever Estrella was going to see. Who exactly are the Luiz family? Time would reveal the truth.
