March 26- FL, Midnight Club, 10:34 PM
Inside the club, the people are everywhere. Most of them are on the dance floor, tightly packed together. A wild guy jumped from the bar into a crowd of his friends. A few smaller groups scattered around the room in VIP tables. The music is so loud that the base rattled through everyone's body. Melissa step inside, arm in arm with both Judy and Beth. Melissa liked to stand out and so she wore a strapless black cocktail dress that clung to every curve on her body. Her hair is up in a messy bun with a few strands hanging around her face. It seemed to grab a few attentions around the room.
Jessup had already gotten their before the three of them to grab them a table. A guy turned his head as the three of them past him at the bar. Melissa gives him a slow wink. He cranked his head to keep an eye on her as she walked by.
Jessup Holts: “I saw that.”
He commented when Melissa sat down at the table. Her legs stretched out on his lap as she relaxed on the comfortable couch. She gave his a coy look with a very large grin.
Melissa Reed: “Saw what?”
Beth and Judy didn't linger long at the table. They dropped their bags off then disappeared to the dance floor. Melissa laid her head back then released a sigh. This reminded her a lot of her home, the Sin City, where there are parties every night. It was impossible to resist that city. It fit her perfectly.
Jessup Holts: “You seem comfy. Should we go dance?”
Melissa Reed: “Before we do that, sweetness, I need another favor.”
Jessup was the ring leader of a wrestling group around here called, “Jesters Of Chaos' and he was also one of the best special effects artists she'd ever seen. Whenever she needed a good promo he was the man to call. Jessup knew her request before she asked, or so it appeared by the look he gave her. Melissa sat up straight.
“Could you?”
Jessup Holts: “Sure. When do you want to get it done, babe?”
Melissa Reed: “Maybe later tomorrow?”
Jessup Holts: “I could cook up an idea.”
Melissa leaped over to give his cheek a big smooch and whispered, 'you are the best' before she slipped out to the dance floor. The music, the hands hungry that touched her body, the rhythm of the music, it was all so intoxicating. A small part of her missed the place she called home and a certain someone. It'd been so easy to calm her cravings for this type of life there. Melissa lost herself in the music.
A hand against her hip, one against her stomach as she rocked her self to the beat. There was someone's voice in her ear and for a second... It was... No. Melissa quickly glanced back at the very attractive man behind her. She smirked before she felt another set of hands grab and tug her.
Judy (yelling) : “Mel! We are going to go do shots, are you in?”
Melissa Reed: (Yelling) : “Of course!”
The three females all squeezed their way over to the bar where they sat up camp for a little bit. Melissa tossed back a few shots, easy, before she finally started to refuse them. She wasn't here to get drunk but instead enjoy her last night of 'fooling around'. Melissa had to take her career seriously again. Lips hit against her exposed shoulder, her hand reached back to shove whoever it was away. Her eyes glanced over because there had been a crash. An obvious drunk man had been knocked down. Someone must have dumped a drink on him because he was soaked now.
Drunk Guy: “BITCH!”
Melissa rolled her eyes. He got up and grabbed her wrist to tug her down. There was no panic in her eyes, in fact, the auburn haired beauty was calm and a little annoyed. He yelled curses things at her but her only reply was a quick kick to his gut. As he stumbled backwards he tugged her along with him. Melissa shouted in pain before her waist was grabbed, a hand reached out to break the drunk guys hold and allow him to tumble to the ground. As people started to huddle around, a lush slur entered in her ear, it sent a chill down her spine.
Jessup Holts: “Let's dance, beautiful.”
Melissa Reed: “Anything you say, sweetness.”
There is a slight stumble in her movements when the two of them quickly migrated to the dance floor. Jessup kept his arm around her the whole time and it remained there when they danced. He seemed a little tipsy himself by the way he swayed and how his hands roamed her hips. Jessup shared in Melissa's 'no relationship' life style. There would be any awkwardness in the morning if she enjoyed him tonight.
“I'm ready to leave.”
She whispered into his ear before she kissed his neck. He lead her out the door in a matter of minutes. To get a taxi was the bigger pain. When you wanted to rip someone else clothes off, you didn't want to wait for a taxi. Melissa let Jessup kiss her neck, tease her with his hands against her thighs and she just leaned into him. Her mind continued to switch back to the match next Monday. She had to get her ass back into the gym and not just jog. There would be no mercy or fooling around this week. She moaned because he just nipped her collar bone and distracted her thoughts.
By the time the two made it into his apartment their lips only parted so they could strip the clothes from their bodies. Jessup tossed Melissa to the bed...
Later
There were clothes all over Jessup's bedroom. As he slept, Melissa slipped into the kitchen to answer her phone. She shuttered and bent down to pull on a random shirt. It turned out she wasn't the only one in the world that couldn't sleep right now...
Melissa Reed: “What are you doing up?”
MJ Bell: “I'm sitting here, eating my mom's pie.”
Melissa Reed: “Ugh, I love your mom's pie. I could really use some right now...”
MJ Bell: “Hangover?”
Melissa Reed: “Maybe.”
She yanked open the fridge to pull out leftover pizza. This made an amazing late night snack. Melissa moved to the table.
“So, why did you call me? Is there something you want to talk about?”
MJ Bell: “Yes and no... I keep trying to clear my mind of what happened at the Pay-per-view but I can't. Ian is haunting me and I am so pissed off . He is so fucking confusing. You can't bring a person flowers and kiss them one day then screw them over another day. I've never thought about revenge but he is pushing it.”
Melissa Reed: “He is sexy. He can haunt me any day.”
There is a horrible silence on the other end.
“Kidding! I am kidding! C'mon MJ, I am just kidding. I think I'm still a little drunk to be honest. I can't believe he is the one you brought you those flowers... I really wanted them to be from someone else. Hint hint, but it's whatever. If you really want some revenge I think you should confront him.”
MJ Bell: “I almost wish... ALMOST and then I remember who you are hinting at and I just can't. I will confront Ian at Massacre. Why do you keep coupling us anyways?”
Melissa Reed: “It cures my boredom?”
MJ Bell: “You are killing me, Mel. If it isn't with Ian then it's Kenshin and all I want to do is wrestle. I also want to be able to sleep again.”
Melissa Reed: “I think you should have some hot angry sex. It does wonders for the body or just sex. Sex is good.”
MJ Bell: “You are still drunk.”
Melissa Reed: “And I just had sex. It was so good.... I can remember the last time I had sex and that is just bad. I'm starting to miss him because of that. Missing that man makes me pathetic. I need a distraction... Can we go back to you and Ian?”
MJ Bell: “No. No we can't and before you ask it is a no to Kenshin too. Why don't we talk about your match.”
Melissa Reed: “I've been trying to avoid that topic..”
MJ Bell: “Why? Are you worried about Richard?”
Melissa Reed: “Of course not. It is a personal, “You've been lazy and it is really showing' type of thing. If I lose then what does that say about me? He is a newbie to this whole business and that is unacceptable. I may be seen as a 'party girl' more than anything else or a clown. A fucking clown. I'm not a clown. I need to be taken serious and not as some joke but I won't go all Heel while I'm in OCW. Why do you do that 'goodie goodie' thing? I totally forgot what I was ranting about but I won't be losing at Massacre! ”
MJ laughed on the other end of the phone because it was clear that Melissa was still intoxicated.
MJ Bell: “Don't worry about it, Mel.”
Melissa Reed: “Yeah. I won't unless I lose then I'm going to be breaking some heads...”
The lights turned on which caused Melissa jumped. Jessup looked groggy as he stood behind her, nude. She smirked at him and wiggled her fingers towards him but Jessup looked too tired to react.
“Morning sleepy head.”
Jessup Holts: “Come back to bed.”
Melissa Reed: “I'll talk to you later, MJ.”
The two exchanged 'goodbyes' before hung up the phone. With a quick swipe of her hand she tossed the rest of slice of pizza into the trash can. She followed Jessup back to the his bed.
March 27- FL, LA Fitness Gym, 3:34 PM
Today was the day that the wrestlers from the corporations around here came to have smaller matches. There was no ref around and the crowd determined the tap outs, counts and everything else. They kept it fair because this didn't add to any huge wins. This was to train. Harlequin decided to take it a little more serious today. She had her signature neon green wig on along with something similar to her ring attire. Tight black shorts with a little Ha on it and a purple and green tub top along with some wrestling boots.
There was a nice glossy coat that made Melissa's body shimmer as she tighter her grip on her opponent. He wheezed with his body hunched over in an awkward angle that he'd been forced into. An 'octopus'. It was uncomfortable for the person on the receiving end and with a simple bend of her body she could make the pain worsen. No mercy from the 'clown' today. Her muscles tightened, hand gripped his wrist just a little tighter and she bent backwards more.
The large man known as 'Loveless' had actually managed to make it to the rope. The whole room exploded with the chant 'rope'. Harlequin released the hold and dropped away from him.
The Harlequin: “Give me something, baby or do you need to Lighten Up?”
The crowd cheered. They all knew what was coming. She only let him have that one moment to breathe before she used her signature Lighten Up! As Loveless laid out on the ground Harlequin wasn't no time to twist his legs around her right one before she turned around. A wicked Sharpshooter. The crowd went wild as she bent a little backwards. Loveless growled in pain but his hand was still up.
“Just tap, baby or I'll make it worse for you. Mm, I love being on top of a man.”
This was a ploy to distract the competition. She just throw in some comments to make them focus on what she was saying. Most of the time it was sexual things because that received bigger reactions. Regardless, Loveless refused to tap as he tried to crawl towards the rope. This happened many times before because of how much smaller she was but there was a counter.
“Brought it on yourself, baby cakes.”
With that she dropped down to increase the painful angle he in already. Her shoulder touched against the floor and Loveless tapped his hand against the mat as fast as he could. The crowd started the chant 'Tapped out' before she released him. Harlequin blew a kiss to the group known at 'Jesters Of Chaos' which actually included Jessup. He gave her a smirk.
She turned around to hold her hand out to the sore Loveless. He gave her hand a short shake before the two exited the ring. Halfway through her approach to her friends they'd met up with her. Inside the ring there were two more wrestlers.
Judy: “Impressive winning streak you had going, babe. That was four matches in a row.”
She shared a hug with the two females of the group before she faced Jessup.
Melissa Reed: “Yeah but the first two were easy to knock out.”
Jessup Holts: “Feel a little more oiled up?”
Melissa Reed: “I do but now I need to go get ready for that promo you promised to help me with.”
Jessup Holts: “As you wish.”
A Padded Room
It is silent and dark when the camera turns on. You can hear movement but it is too dark to see what is going on. Suddenly there is a familiar high pitched laughter. When the laughter stops the light turns on to reveal Harlequin in the old padded room. She is behind a window sitting against one of the walls playing with a torn straight jacket.
The Harlequin: “Richard, you have a terrible case of 'wrong place, wrong time' don't you? Last week it was Kenshin, this week it's me. Isn't life funny that way? Sending you two people who have anger or aggression into a match against you. It is all taken out on you even though you weren't in the wrong... It isn't your fault, it wasn't like you pulled the trigger! Sadly to say, the world needs some type of balance. Anger must be taken care of. It must have a target. The silly thing about anger is that it doesn't CARE if the target is right or wrong. It's all just there... I won't be giving you an easy time either, you poor thing. Richard, when we meet in the ring it won't be a pretty site. I'm not going to hurt you, much and don't worry every piece of your body will be fine. Maybe just a little sore....(Laughter) Life just isn't fair to you but look on the bright side, at least I'm not a wicked monster on a rampage to destroy everything... ”
In a sudden flash she is against the glass pounding bloody fists against the glass. The camera jumps backwards before the lights flash off then on again. Harlequin is no longer against the glass. As the camera approaches the glass again, she is gone from the room. There is a click of heels then the camera turns to see Harlequin out of the cell.
“Are you ready for Massacre? Are you ready to really get those feet wet? I'm not in a friendly mood right now. Poor you, you didn't even do anything to me but you'll be a nice example for the rest of OCW. I'm not a clown for anyone's amusement, not this week. I'm here to prove a little point. Don't worry, don't fret, it'll be over soon. I'm not so cruel to drag it out. I'll save that for someone who truly deserves it. Are you scared? Are you shaking in your boots? Don't be! There is nothing to be afraid of.”
She gives the camera a bloody smile before tossing something red towards the camera.
“For now, Richard, just Lighten Up!”
You can hear someone screaming bloody murder and the camera hits the ground, cracking the screen. Smoke soon fills the air before everything goes black. The word HA quickly splatters all over the place before it cuts off.
