“So, am I pissed? Of course I’m pissed, we were going to Blackout, we were going to be in the main event, and then, that stupid fucking family got involved. They cost us the match because they knew damn well that Maurako couldn’t beat us. I will get those motherfuckers, and I will show them what it is like to be messing with the demon. But there of course are bigger stakes here this week, right now I have something to focus on, and this is a phrase I never thought I would say out loud, but I have to become one half of the tag team champions, and my partner, Amber Ryan.”
Danny B is seen walking down a long stretch of road, the soft glow of the overhead street lights illuminating his hair with a red hue. A gentle rain bounces from his figure, barely visible in the strained light. He walks alone, there seems to be no people, cars, building or even animals around him.
“What I can take away from these past couple of weeks of course, is that no matter how much TGO and Noah Mackenzie runs their mouths, they couldn’t stop us, and the Family was actually so scared of mine and Amber’s potential they had to cause the disqualification. All I can really say in response to that is well done Pryde, I hope you can go in this week and beat the living hell out of him. The advantage is in your corner of course, if that big lump falls from a fake ladder he won’t get up as easy as you, use it to your advantage.”
Danny B stops dead, looking down at the minuscule rain drops bouncing off his leather boots. He looks up and around, some apparent confusion in his face. It seems he was so lost in thought he hadn’t even realised where he was going.
“And I’m supposed to be in Orlando, or you know Orland according to whoever posted the final card on the website. But yet, I am stuck walking down this Georgian road, having no fucking clue where the hell I am. Seething at the fact I had my chance stolen from me. Such is life hey?”
Danny takes a smoke from inside his long black trenchcoat, and lights it with surprising ease considering the weather.
“I will give these things up, one day.”
He takes a few deep puffs before continuing his walk.
“Anyways, it’s re-focus time isn’t it, I’ve spent a lot of the last few days being asked who the two mystery people where that showed up in the ring on Monday night. Of course most are intrigued about the big guy, and the most attentive noticed the female that gave Sean Fuller a stinger too. I have been asked, and I do have answers, but they are not answers for this time. All will be revealed when it is ready to be revealed I am sure of it. I, like most of you, am intrigued to know why they were there.
But to the topic at hand, the tag team turmoil match. See, my usual skit would be to focus on each of the teams, their strengths and weaknesses, and why I am better than them, but I only have a few minutes, so let’s knuckle down to the nitty gritty shall we?”
A roar comes up behind The Ripper as an old Opel Kadet chunders past, neither impressive nor attentive, the driver nearly swerves into Ripper before swaying down the empty road in his trash mobile. Danny B walks on, lowering his middle finger as he does.
“What we do have here is a mix of teams, from those who lost in the lethal lottery, to a couple of established teams, to the two new guys who Dean seemingly wanted on the card so made something up for them.
The entire premise of this is interesting for us. To my knowledge, but I am an inattentive idiot, so let’s be fair her, both the Danger Boiz and the Power couple, the two established teams, have yet to actually compete together under the OCW banner, whereas the lethal lottery rejects have teamed at least once. So advantage to us there right?”
Danny B lets out a little laugh, coughing slightly on cigarette smoke.
“Like I said, one of these days. But of course we don’t have an advantage, the lottery pairings were convenience. Stevenson and Payne aren’t exactly friends, TGO and Noah can’t stand one another, and let’s not forget that they both lost in the first week. Doesn’t stand in good terms for potentially wining this week does it?
Xavier and Adams of course are the wild cards here. Jason X, as he likes to be known, made a good showing this past week. But we don’t know anything about either in tag team competition, and they haven’t yet had a reason to hate one another, I know I wont be turning my back on them that’s for sure.”
Another car comes towards Danny this time, blinding him with its full beam lights. Danny keeps to the side of the road as he walks, noticing the car actually slowing down. A look of shock dawned on his face when he began to recognise the 70’s Mustang he had once given away as a gift. The car pulled right up to him and stopped. Danny watched the window roll down, revealing an old comrade, the rugged looks of The Blue Scorpion.
“Ripper? What the fuck are you doing here man?”
Ripper’s voice was filled with distaste when he next spoke.
“Do you really care?”
“Nah, more curious than anything.”
The two stare at each other, sheer poison escaping from each eye. The rain trickled down Danny’s face, running down past his eye. Scorpion watched this before speaking again.
“Well, it was nice seeing you, as always.”
Scorpion punctuated a sarcastic laugh by reaching out his hand to smack Danny across the arm in a violently playful kind of way. With a flash of crimson across his iris’ Danny grabs the arm, pulls Scorpion out of the window and kicks him in the head. Danny climbs into the car and speeds off, doing a U-turn and screaming down the road as fast as the old car would take him. Danny turns to look directly into the camera.
“What? You think that just because I’m a good guy now I’m not still an asshole?”
Danny lit himself a victory smoke, and drove off into the night, singing “you give love a bad name” at the top of his lungs.

The sun shines bright over Orlando, the rays bouncing off tall buildings to create wonderfully shaped shadows on the floors. Flowing locks of red hair are seen bouncing up and down one of the great theme parks of Universal Studios, The Harry Potter world. The red haired lass is tapped on the shoulder by a man with his golden hair wrapped up into a tight ponytail.
“I was wondering when the fuck you would get here.”
“Sorry, got a little lost last night, ran into an old acquaintance. Anyway long and short, didn’t get here ‘til morning, and I need a sleep here and there, I’m not Alice Knight you know, those beds are comfy.”
“Well isn’t that a sweet little story. What the fuck are we doing here anyway?”
“I sense a bitter undertone there Amber. Something irking you?”
“Irking? Seriously?”
“That’s what I said, so yeah, what’s the dealeo with you?”
Amber shoots Ripper a pretty filthy look, her eyes look tired, almost worn.
“We got fucked this week, we had those wankers, and now, now we are stuck in that stupid tag match instead of the championship match.”
Danny smiles meekly at this outburst.
“You’re right, and I’m not exactly pleased myself, but there is a silver lining to every cloud isn’t there. We have a great chance to make history this week.”
Amber returns the weak smile this time.
“I guess you’re right, seems like a consolation prize really though.”
“Well, yeah. It is, especially considering we didn’t lose, we got screwed. Of course Dean made the wrong call, we both know that the match should have become a fatal four way, but what has been done has been done.”
A sneer now creeps across Amber’s face.
“So what you’re saying is we got screwed. I swear I just said that.”
“Har de fucking har love. We did, and we will get The Family when the time has come, but for now, we have to work together again to get through this match. Think you’re up for that?”
“Maybe one more, but we will undoubtedly win this one, meaning that we would have to work together again and again as tag champions, I don’t know if I could stomach that!”
“Aww, and there I was thinking that you were starting to like me!”
“Like is such a strong word.”
“Well, sod you then, I thought these tickets would have been a nice peace offering. But there you go, not so much. Well fuck you then!”
The aggressive statement was heavily punctuated with a cheeky smile as Ripper turned on his heels and vanished through the crowd coming to enjoy the wonders of JK. Rowling’s masterpiece.
Ripper finally shows up again outside the complex, taking a few long strolls away from the hustle at the gates and finding a nice tree to sit under. The cool breeze created from the shadow soothes him as he lounges, watching the world go by.
“This used to be one of my favourite pastimes you know, just sitting back and watching people get on with their lives. When your day to day is as hectic as mine used to be it was a half decent way to pass the time, especially with a good old cup of tea. That is something I miss in this country, real fucking tea.
So I know many people will be wondering why I am lazing here, about to spark up another cigarette when I’m always complaining about quitting the damn things when I have such a big match this coming week. Well, it’s a simple answer, because there is no point whatsoever in getting worked up.
There are some good names in that match, and I have stated the pros and cons to each of the combinations, and frankly I’m looking forward to getting in there with each and every one of them. In truth, I have no idea how the match is going to work, how many people are in the ring at once or whatever, and I know a lot of guys would fret and panic not being able to plan out a perfect strategy, but that just isn’t me.
Amber and I have proven to be one hell of a team recently, a pinfall victory over the former number one contender to the internet title and a OCW hall of famer is a start in my book, but then last week to be so close to beating someone widely considered to be the best that OCW has to offer, and one of the best up and coming stars in the business.
You know, I think Pryde could actually beat us, but it was a one on two situation for him. Maurako, as well as the others in that group really aren’t all they are cracked up to be. They rely way too heavily on each other, and on cheating to win these matches. Personally I am thankful that Bishop and Murako have their matches last, means that there is less chance of Brianna and Pryde getting screwed, hopefully MJ and Alice will make sure of that.”
Danny finally pulls a carton of smokes from his jacket pocket, and pushes the shades that carefully adorn his face up onto the top of his head.
“You know I could really use a coke here.”
Danny snaps his fingers, and within moment a hand appears out of nowhere holding a glistening red can of Coca-Cola.
“What? Really?”
Danny comically cracks open the can, allowing the spray to drench his face.
“Please tell me you can slow-mo that in the edit? It’s a live feed? Why the fuck is it a live feed? I don’t care what I said, my God you must be the only people on the face of the earth that actually listen to me. Jeez, you just can’t buy the help these days.”
Danny takes a long swig from the can, avoiding the comedy this time. He wipes a spilled drop of brown liquid from his skin, looking at it glisten on his olive coloured hand.
“Speaking of buy, I’ve had a few people ask me why I was walking last night, and why I didn’t phone Jeeves, or Albert or someone when I realised I was lost. Well, I like to walk, and just simply walked too far, no mystery there, but I did reach into my pocket a little before the camera started rolling, finding a note where my phone once was saying that it had been commandeered, and it was gracefully signed, in a child’s handwriting, by S.F. I wonder who that’s supposed to be?”
Danny sips down some more sugary sweet refreshing goodness. He smiles as he watches the excitement of the children being brought to the magical world for the first time.
“That’s how I feel you know, when I wrestle. It’s a good reason why I am with the OCW, a lot of guys on the roster are there because they need whatever money they can get, or they have history with the OCW, or in some cases they have their own financial backer and are here to cause hell. We all know that money is no issue for me, so I would happily say that I get excited wrestling, and I love making history. I’ve been making history my entire career, and this week I will do the same thing.
Yeah it is true that Amber and I aren’t the best of friends, but that hasn’t stopped me in the past. You met The Blue Scorpion earlier, and I cannot stand that greasy old git, but we were the greatest tag team champions in the history of the CWF, we hated each other then as much as now, but we were still successful. On top of that, I am a well-known tag team wrestler, having had ten different tag team championship reigns in my career, with four different partners, I am more than happy to add another partner and another reign to my history. Besides, it’s been a while since I’ve added a new belt to my championship room.”
Danny looks over at the entrance, and cannot help but allow his face to contort into another smile as he sees a bouncing mane of red hair come out of the entrance.
“She may be mentally disturbed, and think oh so little about me, but that crazy bitch is one hell of a tag team partner. She might have lost most of her looks in these past few years, trust me, she was way cuter four years ago, but she is a damn good wrestler, and I am proud to be her partner, because I know with her at my side, my chances go up.”
Angel spots Riper under the tree, helped by the little wave he gives her, and she starts heading over.
“I hope these teams this week don’t underestimate us, we might not be an established team like the power couple and the Danger Boiz, but we have been rivals so long that we know the other so well already, we can still create hell in that match. And over Payne and Stevenson, and TGO and Mackenzie, we have actually worked well enough together to progress to the second round of the lethal lottery. And we have teamed together at least once, and the other competitors are aware of us unlike Adams and Xavier.”
Amber comes and sits with Danny, and a body less arm comes into view again with a coke for her. She takes it, and cracks open the ring pull, and was surprised with a gush of foamed soda goodness into the face.
“Honestly guys, why would do keep doing what I ask, my God, can you believe there a people that actually listen to me?”
Amber stares daggers at her tag team partner, her face dripping with liquid. Suddenly they both laugh, very heartedly, showing a real connection for the first time ever.
“You ready this week coke face?”
“Yeah, we can do it. I kinda wanna be champion, even if it means being champion with you.”
The two of them stand up and head back towards the theme park. It takes a second for them to notice that the shadow covering them lasts too long of a time. The two turn in unison.
“I wish you the best of luck this week.”
They don’t need luck, they can do it, any time any place.”
Amber looks a little shocked, but Danny smiles.
“The family is together again.”
Danny B is seen walking down a long stretch of road, the soft glow of the overhead street lights illuminating his hair with a red hue. A gentle rain bounces from his figure, barely visible in the strained light. He walks alone, there seems to be no people, cars, building or even animals around him.
