[/div][font color="#747474"]Bon Jovi's remastered "You Give Love a Bad Name" assaults the P/A system. Through the curtains steps a fit, pale skinned, raven haired and heavily tattooed woman, her fist raised up in the air. Her dark brown eyes wander over the crowd as she stands upon the stage, taking it all in for a moment. On her face we find dark crimson painted on her full lips and red highlighted black eye shadow over her eyes. Her modest chest is contained by a a fringed red and blue leather vest and black leather bra, while her ass is covered by black and silver tights. She sports standard black pads on her elbows and knees, with knee high laced wrestling boots to match. On her wrists are red, white, and blue bands. Upon her hips rests a thick black leather belt with a large and square silver buckle that reads in an ornate font, "REBEL."

• WRESTLING INFORMATION •
Pro Debut: Atlantic City Entertainment = 2009
OVERALL WRESTLING STYLE: ( Match Writer Notes ) The Rebel is a fast paced mover in the ring. She's an excellent chain wrestler, great with standing reversals and counters, and not afraid to mix it up with someone bigger than her. She's also very good with springboard and diving attacks, often busting out those kinds of moves against larger opponents that she can't fight head on.
Melinda tries to avoid taking hits when possible, dodging, weaving, and blocking using quick and loose boxing foot work as the foundation of her entire style. She's never flat footed in the match, always staying on the balls of her feet and ready to spring out of harm's way at a moment's notice. Against larger opponents, she'll actually stay in close, angering them with her superior speed and agility by dodging everything they have to throw at her. If they were particularly disrespectful, she'll taunt and throw little jabs and slaps in between dodges just to infuriate them even more.
Like any long term veteran, Melinda has a few subtle moves in her arsenal that only come out with specific criteria, such as when an opponent seriously disrespects her or tries to go out of their way to try and injure her. Examples would include her utilizing knuckle punches on her opponent's throat and kidneys, targeting the bladder from time to time as well to add a little embarrassment if they dared not to take a leak before their match, working super snug and tight during holds while driving her knuckles into joints locations, using kicks to target knees, hips, and spine, and so on. During Superkick Parties, she's just as prone to belting out a Superkick as anyone else, it's just not a regular move in her arsenal.
Treat her moves like her greatest hits collection, but that's not all she's limited to as Mel's wrestled since she was 19 years old. She's over 34 now. Ultimately, you can have a lot of fun writing her in a match so long as you realize that she has a code of conduct & will give as much honor & respect as she's shown by her opponent.
Finishing Moves
1. Shot In the Dark
Melinda can pull nearly any variation of the Diamond Cutter at any time, even if she is on the receiving end of a brutal beating, she can usually pull this move off quickly and effectively. From transitions out of suplex, front facelock, and fireman's carry positions to diving and springboard variations, the Rebel can do them all. The way she pulls it off leaves it as a devastating one shot kill option against all but the toughest of competitors.
2. Rebel Death Lock
An Elevated Sharpshooter where Melinda nearly bends smaller opponents in half at the hip. Typically used to finish submission matches.
3. Rebel Star Press
Shooting Star Press and Pin.
4. Rebel Star Death Drop
Shooting Star DDT, for those times when opponent's get up a little too soon or she just wants to finish them in the highest level of awesome possible.
Trademark Moves
1. Rhodes Kill
A high impact spear. She tends to only use this against opponents that are closer to her body mass and type. Against large, thick build opponents, she won't use it at all.
2. Duck and Weave
Utilizing her boxing skills and light footwork, Melinda will stay within arms reach of an opponent, showcasing her speed and reflexes by ducking and weaving her opponents attempts to grapple or punch her. This is usually used to frustrate her opposition and open them up for a counter attack. She sometimes will be taunting her opponent while doing this.
3. Back Body Drop
It was the first move Melinda Rhodes ever learned in the sport and she has mastered many variations of it. In other words, match writers, go hog wild with the variants of the Back Body Drop. She always pulls this move off with great execution and effect, having drilled it in the earliest.
4. The Wild Ride
Spin-out Powerbomb. Mainly used against opponents that are closer to her physical size. If the opponent is over 230 pounds, she won't even attempt the move on them.
5. Power Slide
Melinda runs and drops to her knees, using her momentum to slide under an attack, usually after rebounding off the ropes or if running at an opponent who attempts to attack her. She then flips or rolls onto her feet, usually in a perfect position to catch a turning opponent for a fast finish with Sheer Heart Attack.
6. Skull Tattoo I
Diving/Springboard Falling Reverse DDT. Not a great idea to use against Giant opponents, but sometimes it'll work on them too.
7. Skull Tattoo II
Diving/Springboard 720 DDT. A bit more successful against larger opponents than the original, but used against an opponent that's facing her rather than having their back turned.

• MINI BIOGRAPHY •
Try as she might, Melinda Rhodes can't stay away from the wrestling ring. She's been wrestling on and off for well over a decade with the scars and accolades that come along with it. She got her big break in Atlantic City New Jersey back in 2010. In that promotion she was one of only two triple crown champions, having held ever singles competition title the company had to offer. When it closed, she disappeared for awhile, only to reappear in a promotion called The Pitt. While she had less success in this company due to backstage politics with a maniacal promoter, she gained some notoriety. When the company went under, she did try to wrestle for other promotions and even started her own when company after company shut down on her. In the end, however, the strain of running a promotion, competing, and dealing with a private crisis or two proved to be too much, leading her to burn out on the sport. Towards the end of 2016, she walked out of the business and seemed gone for good. Even moving to the state of Colorado didn't seem to keep the desire from her and in June of 2017, she put herself back on the market, finding her way to EWC's Monday Night Brawl.
Later that same year, The Rebel would win her first Championship since The Pitt, the EWC International Championship and while it brought it's fair share of difficulties, it did wonders for rebuilding her confidence. Later she would go on to join the OCW brand and even managed to win the coveted "Oh Shit!" Contract and the OCW Tag Team Championship with Vincent Langston, only to be betrayed by her tag partner and left to take the fall against Jacob Hotstuff and one of his cronies. She made plans that even included bringing her husband into the company to tag team with her in an effort to get those titles back, but unfortunately some behind the scenes shenanigans and drama would cost her a place at the OCW table, resulting in her being fired from the company after allegations were made of sexism being perpetrated towards her caused a major uproar within the community and the locker room.
Yet in an odd twist, she has been invited back to the OCW brand by unknown parties and now she moves forward, facing ever growing threats with each passing week and evolving with each new challenge. Even this late in the game, Melinda will always call herself a work in progress. She knows that coming back will put her past claims to question and that she'll be forced to answer to those she accused, but at the same time, she couldn't let the story end on such a sour note. Will she get her redemption or will she finally call OCW the resting place of her in-ring career once and for all?
