Okay, so one of the biggest news items to come out of Massacre this past Monday centered around Lukas Emery and his unfulfilled Oh Shit Contract.
Last year at Stainless Steel Ride Lukas Emery won the Oh Shit Contract. The contract granted him a shot at any time against any champion...aside from the OCW Champion. Before Lukas could cash the Oh Shit contract in, OCW closed.
Now he's back AND he wants his title shot.
This is where things get sticky
I'm told the contract is, in fact, still valid. However, the titles available to him are no longer active. So, that begs the question - what's the compromise?
OCW is, of course, extremely nervous about how all of this could impact their marquee match at The Greatest Show on Earth. I'm told management is DETERMINED to have a clean, no questions asked finish in the Meyhu/TIO Iron Man match. That would indicate that a Lukas cash in at any point would be, at the very least, frowned upon.
Emery's people, spear headed by his sister Amelia, feel it is unfair to deny Lukas this once in a lifetime opportunity. Cashing in on an OCW Champion after an hour's worth of wrestling would seem to lead to a guaranteed OCW Title reign - and all that comes with that (ie money, fame, status).
So, what is to be done? I'm told the answer is uncertain. Neither side is budging at the moment. All that is clear, as far as I can see, is that both Lukas and Amelia are under OCW contract and eligible to compete as of last Monday.
We'll keep an eye on this situation as it further develops.
