It’s time for some good, old OCW Newsline Rumors!
- Last night we saw OCW Champion and contender for father of the year, TIO do something no other OCW character has done in company history – physically assault Marcus Welsh. TIO spent the remainder of the evening contemplating his actions and fearing over what consequences they might bring.
- Following up on TIO’s heated attack against Welsh…the show ended with the return of The Marvel! While TIO requested help for the injured Julliet Brooks, Meyhu answered the call by hopping the barricade, entering the ring and laying waste to all its inhabitants. He finished the assault off with an Ego Trip to his former friend and colleague, making his intentions crystal clear. Matt Meyhu wants his OCW Title back.
- As for the OCW Title…a visibly wounded Marcus Welsh was wheeled down to ringside post Meyhu’s attack and demanded the title be given to him. He received the title and left ringside with it in his lap. Where does this leave the OCW Title? Is TIO still champion? Is Meyhu going to be crowned champion on Monday? What’s the deal, yo?
- Speaking of Brooks…she showed the heart and character fans have associated with her throughout the duration of her career last night in refusing to assail a wounded competitor. Crimson, daring Brooks to deal somewhat of a deathblow to Josie Barnes, was rebuked and, instead, punched in the face for his efforts. This did not sit well with The Fury. Crimson, upon losing the match, accosted his team mate and left her lying in a puddle of blood. There is no doubt Julliet Brooks will have something to say about this as she seeks vengeance on her attacker, the man with the HUMAN FLESH jacket, Tommy Crimson.
- Is Bob Grenier REALLY retiring? OCW’s most famous Canadian seems adamant that this upcoming Massacre will be his last. He claims to have done everything there is to do in OCW. So, with that being said, what’s the point? Is Grenier retiring? Have we seen the last of Bob Grenier? I guess we’ll get that answer for sure on Monday.
- Chad Vargas and Mack O’Connor renew one of wrestling’s greatest rivalries on Monday when the two OCW Hall of Famers do battle to become the first ever Margarita Mix champion. The summer of 2017 saw both men compete week in and week out vying for the industries prettiest trophy. Unfortunately, their journeys were cut short due to Hurricane Maria. Now, with OCW reopened, they get the opportunity to finish what they started. Who will walk away the Margarita Mix champion? And, what will be their reward – ya know, aside from that bitchin trophy.
- Ed Houston big leagued The Purple VIP Josie Barnes. YEA I SAID IT. It was something of a new attitude for 2017’s Most Underrated wrestler of the year. What’s going on with the high flying superstar? Is this some new approach? Whatever the case, Josie Barnes is not the type of person you respond to in flippant nature. She demands respect. I would be shocked if we didn’t see Barnes approach Houston this week seeking some answers in an attempt to find out what the hell his deal truly is.
- It was supposed to be a great night for Curt Canon. The OCW Hall of Famer and former OCW Champion was all set to celebrate his 2017 Face of the Year award with his faithful simian at his side. His goals were CRUSHED by the most unknown wrestler on the roster, Paralysis. Paralysis laid waste to both Canon and Checkers in a brutal backstage attack. Curt Canon will definitely be seeking some form of revenge this year as he teams with Ed Houston to take on Paralysis and Tommy Crimson.
- The Greatest Show on Earth was announced this past Monday! It will take place in Papillion, Nebraska underneath a grandiose circus tent! The date is set for Monday, June 11th. The OCW Title will be defended. A new #1 Contender will be decided. The first ever CRAZE champion will be crowned. And much, much more. Have you ever been to Nebraska? I didn’t think so. Now’s the time to cross that boring state off your list! Get your tickets to The Greatest Show on Earth today! (assuming they are already on sale)
- Mike Zybala is the commissioner? HOLY SHIT. And we thought things looked rough when EE had some power. Zybala made this shocking announcement midway through last night’s show. He also appears to be in charge of the CRAZE division – makes sense. Now, as far as all this Outsider talk goes…I’m hearing that, for now, it’s just talk. In the future…well, nobody can predict the future. Not even Dr. Orange.
- OCW Survivor returning for a second season? I’m hearing it’s a strong possibility. Several people behind the scenes are eager to bring back the successful OCW venture. Would you watch if the show would return? I know I would!
- And, finally, I’m told the top selling OCW item this week was the famed OWLisNIGHT t-shirt. When will the madness end, Hood was heard yelling upon seeing the list. The rest of the top ten were: plush Checkers doll, Ed Houston replica NASA shuttle, TIO fake, applicable costume beard, Josie Barnes PURPLE VIP bumper sticker, Mack O’Connor flask, Matt Meyhu ‘I did it for – MYSELF’ t-shirt, Julliet Brooks ‘Pride of New Mexico’ coffee mug wrapped in barbed wire, Tommy Crimson HUMAN FLESH jacket (not made of real human flesh), and the official Chad Vargas can of tobacco. That’s the top ten folks…can somebody please knock Alice off her perch? She doesn’t even work here anymore!
