July 20, 2017, the day the world mourned the death of Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington, as news reports poured in of his death by suicide. Many fans paid tribute to the man that resonated with many fans growing up in the early 2000's with songs like "One Step Closer", "Crawling", "In the End" & "Numb". The July 24th edition of Monday Night Massacre will show OCW superstars pay tribute to Bennington by temporarily changing their theme songs to their favorite Linkin Park songs. OCW Paradigm Champion the Incredible One, a big Linkin Park fan, was one of the first to get involved with this, choosing "Don't Stay", the opening track of Meteora, which he has used in the past as a theme song. TIO released this statement that he was going to go with "Don't Stay" for the foreseeable future.
"When I was changing my theme from 'Lean Back', the two songs I narrowed it down to was my current theme Ten Thousand Fists, and Don't Stay. I don't regret choosing Fists because I wanted to have a song to interact with the fans and a new sound... however, following the tragedy that has happened, I can't think of better way to show my support to Linkin Park, their fans and my fans, to continue using Don't Stay past out LP tribute night. LP was a huge part of my life growing up early on in the business and helped me go through tough times on the road, away from home at an early age... it's only fitting that I continue to bless fans of Key West with the magical music by LP."
Mr. TIO!! Rumor Mill here. Are the rumors true that you originally picked Ten Thousand Fist because you heard the reaction of the Boardwalk Wrestling fans when Zybala used the music as a theme?
