OCW's roster was in flux. Several of the marquee names from 2000 had left the promotion. The company was in need of new talent. So, OCW President hit the EMAIL SPAMMING WITH FEROCITY. The result - an influx of talent so massive a special, one night only event was held to accommodate the new members.
Rookie's Night Out.
An opportunity for all the new rookies to do battle in an attempt to separate the immediate contenders from the current novices and/or pretenders. As you'll see from the lineup, a few future Hall of Famers were among the group.
It's arguably the greatest haul of talent in OCW history. Several qualifying matches were booked with the winners advancing to a battle royal in the main event. The winner would go on to face Silver Cyanide at No Limits 2 for the United States Championship.
This is also the infamous night when Jones displayed DEADPOOL LIKE healing abilities.
