Scene 1: Wichita, Kansas: Ressurection PPV
The scene sets inside the Laree family trailer, parked right outside of the arena in Wichita. The family had just finished cleaning up after eating dinner and now were about to check in at the arena. Angelle is seen, in wrestling gear, holding her wife, Melanie's hand, flanked by Britanie Laree-Simone, Angelle's daughter, and her sister in law, Carli. As they get settled into the locker room, Britanie closes the door, and looks right at her mom, who she was about to surprise with what she was going to say. But in her mind, it had to be said.
Britanie: Mom, I shut the door because I have something to tell you all privately. And that is, after Daniele and I divorced, I realized that being a lesbian wasn't working for me. All it got me was picked on and backstabbed. Whether it was me dating Ms. McJames, in CLAW, or Daniele, I just realized the mistake I made. Especially after you disowned me for three years. It made me realize that family comes first. While Daniele may be my best friend, you three are my family and it's time I went straight, and hopefully find a boyfriend.
Angelle smiled, as did Carli. They had been hoping for some time that Britanie would change, as Carli was really the only straight person in the famiy, but it didn't bother anyone too much, as Britanie had gotten sick of the lifestyle she had been leading lately, as she had been sorely mistreated by anyone not named Daniele Simone, who was now known as Angelique, in Red River Wrestling. But that was another story for another time.
Angelle: That's great! But with me, I'm who I am and no one's changing me. Melanie has given me an amazing family and I don't want anything happening to it. But I am excited for your change and hope you find the right person to help you with that change further. I was kinda hoping you'd realize the mistake you made, but it feels hypocritical for us to say that when Melanie is a lesbian, and I'm bi. But here's the thing. I've been that way since I was thirteen, so I know where you're coming from with that. The family, before Melanie and Carli, had some blurred lines, but I'm glad we could fix them and start fresh.
Hearing this, Angelle hugged her daughter, proud of her recent change of heart and mind. She had hoped for a while that this would come and as it did, Angelle was ecstatic for her daughter. As she continues on, Carli and Melanie, the most recent additions to the family, had been very happy as new parts of it, and wanted things staying that way.
Britanie: And I've gotten very close to Carli and I love having her in this family. Finally, someone my own age that likes the same stuff I do. Maybe I could train her to wrestle, haha. But for now, let's get you ready for your match.
As Melanie smiles, she then looks over at her wife, as Carli then looks at Britanie, wondering what to say. She was a loyal friend in true, to her sister in law, and supported anything she did, no matter what it was. But this was a big step in Brit's life, according to Carli, and she wanted to be there for Britanie, as the decision was made.
Carli: I'm happy for you, Britie. But you know, any decision you make, I support. As for the wrestling, I've been wanting to get into it, as I've been a fan since I was seven, watching that first wrestling show on France's version of USA Network here. Never imagined I'd be invited to train at your mom's legendary school that's produced champs out of everyone they trained, from you, to Adrienne Riley, and so on. I just hope I can keep that going.
Angelle smiled at the dedication to wrestling that Carli had and wanted to make sure she had the best training possible, as she wanted Carli to be one of the best wrestlers possible as she'd had that reputation with everyone she trained, as Britanie, as well as Adrienne/Roxie Nash had gone on to gold, she had just wished AJ Harris and her cousin, Lauren, would have stayed in the business longer, but she wasn't sure if there was anything she could do about that right now.
Angelle: Carli, just like Britanie, you have potential. And Britanie and me are here to help you unlock it. Once we can open an American branch of my school, we'll move here and let you train, though I do have a house in Paradise Valley, California, but I haven't been back in a while. After this show, I suggest we move into that, since we sold our other house in Paris, to be on the road more. But maybe we take up that Paradise Valley house. What do you guys think? Mel, you haven't said a word. What do you think on the idea?
This idea sort of worried Melanie. She wasn't usually this much a worry wort but in this case, it involved her only daughter, so she had a natural concern for her, however, she loved the idea of moving to California. As she spoke, the indecisiveness showed in her voice.
Melanie: I actually quite like that idea. I've wanted to live in California, so that would work for me. As for Carli traning, I'm down. I just worry about how it'll look, with her wrestling with her glasses on. I know she can get contacts for that but I'm just unsure about it. What if she gets hurt?
Angelle snickered at this. She herself, wore glasses, and still wrestled without them on, as did Britanie, when she did have bookings, which wasn't that much right now, but still she at least didn't wrestle in glasses, as Britanie was usually masked, wrestling as Simone, but that was a different story for a different day.
Angelle: Just trust me and Brit, Melanie. We've both got enough experience to make sure she stays healthy. But this business is out doing what you need to to make sure you get the win. So if she has to take some bumps, then she can do just that. But before we do any of that, Carli, we need to get you a makeover. Get rid of the braces and glasses. Get you some contacts. I know you're very beautiful with both, but imagine how much better off you'd be without them. Britanie took this same makeover when she started and look how much better looking it made her. Tomorrow, I'll set up the appointments you need to get started. But for now, let's focus on getting me ready.
Carli then takes in all this info, as she prepares to answer herself. As she looks on, she finally has what she is going to say, and flips her blonde hair back as she smiles, showing off her braces, as she hoped she would get invisible braces, as she was really sick of these ones she had in right now. She wanted an immediate change and she felt this was best for her.
Carli: I've actually been wanting to change how I look for a while. Wanted to get rid of the geek look and the blonde hair and maybe go brunette. There's too many blonde girls in wrestling now, no offense Angelle or mom, but I just wanna be different. I don't wanna be grouped with those same blondes, as the stereotypical dumb blonde.
Angelle respected that about Carli, that she wanted to make her own identity and stand out, more than anything. Carli always stood out in a crowd, making it easier to find her, when the group got separated from one another and that was not often, but it did happen every once in a while.
Angelle: We'll worry about that tomorrow, Carli. For now, you guys go find your seats, and I gotta get ready for my match. I'll see you guys out there. Enjoy the show and Carli, remind me after it's done, and we'll get you all set up. Good luck with the training, and since she has more time than me, Britanie will be your main trainer. I'll help when I can though.
Carli: Thanks a lot, Britanie and Angelle. This means a lot to me, as I was looking for someone to train me. Angelle and Brandy were both busy and I was glad I could go to my own sister in law, who was grateful enough to help me train, and I hope I do as well in this business as you two have. I'm willing to do what it takes to get me noticed in this business, and I know it'll take time, but it'll be worth it in the end. I am willing to work to get myself into the business.
As the scene fades, Angelle smiles at this, as she saw the dedication that Carli had and wanted her to succeed as much as possible as Angelle students, for the most part, had succeeded in the business, and she could tell that Carli would be next to do so.
Scene 2: Time for a Shoot
The scene resets, in Angelle's locker room, where she had just finished her stretching, and was now ready to cut her promo. She had a lot to say, and was going to get it going, that was for sure. As she looks into the camera, she removes her glasses, putting her contacts in, as she speaks.
Angelle: Last week, I lost to Ian Bishop. But what struck me even more was that he attacked Brianna Casablancas. Now, I know this is a business and people are gonna get attacked. But Brianna, if you need it, Rain and I have your back. Ian is nothing but a bully. And speaking of bullies, that brings me to my first opponent, Johnny Riot.
She then turns to Riot, as she would then be focusing on him, as she was sick of him getting away with stuff around here. As she finally has what she's going to say, a smile comes across her face, as she finally speaks, showing her confidence.
Angelle: Ever since you debuted, you've been nothing but a bully. But the thing is, no one has been able to stand up to you. Well, that's all going to change. See, I had to go through my daughter's school life, watching her get bullied, and so I won't tolerate bullying at the work place. So here's what I'm about to do. I'm going to go out there and for anyone you've picked on, this will be their revenge. I will be out for revenge for all of them, because that's how I roll. I defend the people you bullied and it's going to be the last time you ever bully anyone.
She felt better saying that, as it had been weighing on her for a long time, as her family had been bullied as kids and this was her time to stand up for them, as well. As she speaks, she gets more confident, showing that unmistakeable confidence that Angelle possessed a lot of the time.
Angelle: Let's next go on to MJ Bell. You're a relative newcomer around here, as am I. Both of us are attempting to make a name for ourselves around here. But the one thing you don't have that I do, is experience. You see, I'm 41 years old and a hall of famer in four countries, Japan, England, Canada, and my home country of France. But see all that helps me, as I've honed my craft since I was sixteen years old, back in Paris. But enough of that. MJ, you will make a name for yourself, in time. But tonight is not that time. Tonight is my time to make a name for myself in OCW, as I've done anywhere else I've been.
She had put herself over enough and now it was time to move on to the rest of the match, as she didnt have the time to cover everyone, as she had some other things to take care of, and needed to get this over with. She then speaks.
Angelle: As for the rest of you, this match is all about every person for themselves, which is my kind of match. See, I've made a career of watching my own back and that's what I'll be doing in this match. When the dust settles, there can only be one winner. And thats gonna be me. Cause I”m Angelle Laree and I'm the best there's ever gonna be.
The scene then fades off, as Angelle's music hits, and she makes her way to the ring. She had said all she needed to say and now was about to go hang out with family and start giving Carli the makeover she'd need to have done to make her look more attractive, as Carli wanted it done.[/b]
