The following is an excerpt from a video blog posted to Noah’s personal website. The views and opinions expressed are not those of Online Championship Wrestling or any of it affiliates. Viewer discretion is advised.
After a moment of static, the scene jolts to life, showing Noah Mackenzie just after Massacre went off the air, frustration apparent on his face. No smoke and mirrors, no Miranda, just Noah, a camera, and a chip on his shoulder.
“I know, I know, before you even say it, I’m fully aware of what just happened. Am I mad about it? Not really. I underestimated Brianna and it came back to bite me in the ass. She earned her spot in the Central Championship match at Resurrection, and I applaud her for that. I made an oversight and it cost me, it’s as simple as that. Between you and I, I wish her the best of luck, but I can’t wait to watch Ian slam her back down to reality in just a couple of weeks. I’m done talking about it though, so let’s forget about it already. Another day, another dollar.”
Noah turns now, moving over to his gym bag where next week’s massacre card is waiting for him. He picks it up, turning towards the camera, and holding it up for all to see.
“This is why I pulled you in here though. As soon as I come back to my locker room, before I even have a chance to get a shower, what do I see? I find out that I’m in a tag team match against my opponent for Resurrection, Dangerous Dan, and Roach. Who is my partner though? Oh, here’s the good part, I’m stuck with The Lost Soul in my corner… Yeah, there’s a match made in heaven right? I didn’t think so.”
Noah tosses the card over his shoulder as he continues on.
“Roach, you and Lost Soul can tear the arena down and leave each other half dead for all I care. As for Dan though, now that’s a horse of a different color. You see Dan, what you need to come to terms with and quickly is that not only are about to suffer a loss, but you are going to suffer two back to back, and at one the biggest event in OCW history to boot. Next week on Massacre, you’re teamed with that painted up meathead, and you are facing another painted up mutant and a man who’s proven time and again what it means to define tag team wrestling. If The Lost Soul follows my lead next week, then there is nothing short of divine intervention that is going to prevent us from winning.”
Noah moves across the locker room, grabbing a half drank bottle of water along the way.
“The way I see it Dan, Roach and Lost Soul? They’re simply bodies put in this match to prevent the powers that be from giving away the inevitable result of our match at Resurrection. With the fate of the Internet Championship hanging in the balance, you and I are what this is truly about. This week at Massacre, I’m going to give you a taste of what awaits you at Resurrection. Personally, I don’t yet know enough about you to be willing to insult you, but what I do know is myself, and when it comes to Tag Team competition Dan, I didn’t land in three separate Hall of Fames as a tag team by simply being alright at it you know?”
Noah now makes his way out of the dressing room with the camera in tow. Heading down the hallway towards catering, Noah glances over his shoulder, continuing to speak.
“Let me break this down for you in as simple of terms as I can. When you and I step into that ring, I’m going to put on a clinic. You may feel that you’re becoming a big fish in a small pond, but I am a whale in a teardrop! I may not have found myself in the Central Championship match at Resurrection like I planned, but because of that, it just means I have that much more to prove. In a couple of weeks, you and I are going to go one on one and I am going to leave you on the flat of your back as I make my way one step closer to holding the Internet Championship and crowning myself the TRUE People’s Champion, do you get that? Whether you choose to believe it or not Dan, you are in for a rough couple of weeks, and the fact that I am more motivated than ever is going to prove detrimental to your health. Love it or leave kid, but it won’t change the fact that at Massacre, you’re going to join a laundry list of men and women who have found themselves buried beneath the Dublin Sky.”
Noah makes his way to catering now, grabbing a bag of chips and continuing down the hall.
“As much as it may pain you to hear this Dan, this week, it’s not all about you is it? No, it seems I would be remissed if I didn’t at least give some kind of notice to Roach, so let me go ahead and get this out of the way. Plain and simple Roach, I’m going to put it like this. I don’t know you, and I don’t see any reason to change that. This week at Massacre, you can target all of your emotion towards Lost Soul and it wouldn’t bother me in the least because if for even a moment, you try to put yourself in the ring with me, you’ll find yourself wishing you would have stayed in bed that morning. If I had a nickle for every flash in the pan screwjob like you I’ve met in this business, I’d be able to buy you and sell you to whatever half-hearted trainer broke you into this business. I am the Messiah of Mayhem and what that means is anything you can think of to do to a man, I’ve already done worse. Any goal you could have ever hoped to achieve, I’ve accomplished and more. While you were still cutting your teeth in the gym and just beginning to chase the dream, I was winning titles and securing my place in the history books.”
Noah finally finds a set of glass double doors, stepping outside and taking a deep breath. A couple of moments of silence pass before Noah turns to face the camera again.
“In other words Roach, don’t come to Massacre expecting to get one over on me. Don’t for a even a second dilute yourself into thinking that you stand anything that even resembles a chance of pulling off a victory. You, just like Dan, are going to find out first hand that when I say I am the best this business has ever seen, I am actually underselling myself. So again I say this, and you have no idea how much I mean it when I am telling you that you need to focus on Lost Soul and leave messing with me off of your mind. Whether it is you or it is Dan doesn’t matter, when the night comes to a close, I will be standing alongside Lost Soul in the center of the ring with our arms raised in victory.”
Noah now moves, backing the camera against the wall as the confidence permeates from his every pore and the intensity builds in his soft green eyes.
“I don’t make mistakes often, but when I do, I don’t repeat them a second time. I overlooked Brianna last week and it cost me my shot at the top. This week, I’m not overlooking either one of you. If given the right moment and the wrong decision on my part, either one of you can steal a win, that much I will admit. Don’t get your hopes up though gentlemen, because at Massacre, I’m coming for war... I’m coming to win. Live on the internet, the Messiah of Mayhem seeks redemption and it’s almost unfortunate that it awaits on your shoulders, but as the old saying goes gents… Life is a highway… Sometimes you’re the bug…”
Noah now gets his signature smirk of confidence on his face.
“Now say hello to the windshield!”
