(Sorry for late promo. Got loaded with Covered California / Obama Care appointments...)
Do you think about
Everything you've been through
You never thought you'd be so depressed
Are you wondering
Is it life or death
Do you think that there's no one like you

Part One – Character Development – Late Monday Night
(Monday Night Massacre has just ended and Eric is sitting backstage changing into his casual attire. He was still upset at the fact he managed to lose to Damian Payne. That was someone he really looked forward to facing. Not because of his ego, but because of his notoriety. They had crossed paths in S.W.A.T. but they were on opposite ends of the card. Eric was in the main event while Damian was working his way up with an impressive winning streak. Just when it seemed like the veteran that had already won the World and National Championships, first to do so, was gonna face the impressive signing, the federation closed. Eric in his mind knew that it was far from over. He could not tolerate losing, just as much as his idol Michael Jordan. His desire to win and be better at anything he ever touched, including video games, drove people insane.)
(Up on the mounted television you can see the triple threat playing over and over. It was as if he was obsessed with studying something. He was in a trance, until his door creaked open. It surprised the living shit out of him, since most of the talent was gone by now. He turned to look at the door and it was his own wife, Veronica Rodriguez, with his own son Daniel in tow.)
Vero: “Honey, I thought you said meet you in the airport in half hour. What’s taking so long?”
(He releases a sigh and shakes his head.)
Eric: “If you must know, I got side tracked with my post match training. I have been so busy with working out that I forgot about my little meeting with Brianna. I hope she does not think any less of me for that. My mind was wandering back and forth that I couldn’t even get any words out.”
Vero: “I understand. But I don’t want you to overdo it. You remember the last time you let someone get into your head? I’m sure Daniel doesn’t want to see that again.”
(He groans at being reminded of their temporary split. He heads over to pack his remaining belongings and puts the DVD of his last match in his duffel bag. They promptly exit the locker room and head towards their rental car.)
Vero: “I understand you are trying to make a good first impression, Eric, but you also have to realize you have a school and a child to tend to. You can’t let things like this get to your head.”
Eric: “It’s not just that. I’m still disappointed that my recklessness caused Angelle to be attacked. The show ended too fast. I want revenge on them for what they did.”
Vero: “I’m sure you eventually will. But working yourself into insanity is only going to make them win. You certainly don’t want that.”
Eric: “I guess. So, what’s on the agenda for today?”
(Vero takes out her glasses from her purse and looks through a small appointment book.)
Vero: “Well, we have a meeting to attend to in Imperial County so they can get our second training school branch pre approved. I believe Neighborhood House and Catholic Charities want to finalize the sponsorship contract. Are you sure you want to remain non profit with your name?”
Eric: “Yes, I’m sure. I don’t really care about the money. I just want to give back to the community. Making money off teaching people with similar mental and physical disabilities would make me look like a hypocrite and desperate for attention. Which I’m not, I don’t need the attention to be myself. We also need to speak with Arc, Department of Rehab, Regional Occupational Program, Womenhaven, and Community Catalysts. That way they know that I have their best interests in mind. That way we can help each other.”
(Vero looks surprised by the response.)
Vero: “Are you sure this is doable? Especially with your schedule?”
Eric: “Yes, dreams are not finalized overnight. I know it will be hard work, that’s what I’ve been used to since birth. I don’t care if it takes me a millennium, I want to help other people any way I can. There’s plenty more sponsors where that came from. I’m just getting warmed up.”
(Eric smirks as they arrive in their rental car and take off.)
Part Two – Promo – Present Day
(It’s been a loaded week for the Hardcore Messiah. His schedule was so loaded with business meetings that he couldn’t concentrate enough of his time to fulfill his commitment with Brianna. Luckily she wasn’t so upset at him and understood. We see plenty of labeled folders scattered around ranging from a long list of nonprofit organizations that littered the county. As the camera turns around, it turns around we’re sitting in the lobby of his training school where we see plenty of students surrounding the ring in the center. The students have noticeable disabilities whether it be wearing a cast, being in a wheelchair, down syndrome, while others it’s not so visible. They may look like ordinary people but their stories would blow your mind away. Eric is dressed in karate style gear in a crimson color scheme with a matching headband. The back of his attire has a flaming dragon yin gang imprinted of it, which is the logo of the school.)
“Good to see you were able to find it on time.”
(He chuckles taking a seat on a small stool that sits in the middle of the ring.)
“I’ve sat back and listened to all the bragging these two boys have done so far. Sadistic Insanity and The Incredible One. Sounds like more a contest of who’s junk is bigger than an actual wrestling match. I, on the other hand, don’t really care about intimidation. I don’t do this for the ratings or for the fear. I do it because it’s been my dream since I was old enough to walk. I don’t need a flashy name to bring the point home. Hardcore Messiah was given to me by my peers out of respect, not because I wanted to brag. More often than not, that ego doesn’t get them anywhere. With that being said, Damian Payne learned the hard way that you should never judge a book by it’s cover. He tried to tell people that my name was about as corny as my wrestling skill and puffed out his chest. Yet what actually happened in the show? He was a victim to my devastation Drowning Current, a message that had to be sent to the entire roster that I am here to stay. I think that message was made perfectly, now wasn’t it?”
(He smirks at the camera and nods to confirm his point.)
“While I appreciate the respect and the flattery, I need to stress that my attack was purely business. I have researched you to the deepest ends, Damian. You are every bit as successful as me around the wrestling business. By attacking one of the more well-known dogs in the business, a statement was made. When I first met you in S.W.A.T., you were getting your feet wet while racking up victories. Too bad I never got to face you. A damn shame. Instead, I got stuck facing American Freebear more times than John Cena versus Randy Orton, the rivalry that will last until they are in their 80’s. You earned that victory on Massacre. But as I’ve said many times over, very few people are able to pull it off twice. By attacking you after the match, I got into your head. I managed to make you think I had an axe to grind with you. At least we both agree that Johnny Riot was a waste of space. He didn’t even deserve to be in our company. Probably just wanted his five minutes of fame. Just like you’re gonna get yours. Soon, everyone will know that the Hardcore Messiah is a true main eventer.”
(He paces around the ring for a while as his expression starts to get a little bit more serious.)
“But not all of it is unicorns and rainbows. For all the good traits you both have in the ring, there are things that certainly need to get addressed promptly. For one, you two are the exact image of what I’ve had to overcome all my life. Two bullies that have the tendency to attack people when their guard down, but when approached to their face crumble to a lower stature than a midget. We all saw that in perfect sight as our very own Brianna put on a hell of a fight. She got knocked out multiple times, all for her to end the show on her terms. One person that wasn’t able to end it on her own terms is my own friend, Angelle Laree. She was unfairly beaten down and humiliated this past week. That’s something I won’t tolerate without a fight. When you cross the line with my friends and family, you’ve got hell to pay. And my kind of hell is not exactly the incredible kind.”
(He cracks his knuckles and grits his teeth, lowering his gaze towards the mat.)
“Everyone in this room has dealt with that kind of pain. It’s what lead me to building this school. I want to help people that are less fortunate, that are outcasted for their race, gender, appearance, disability, income, anything under the sun. Equal opportunity does not have to be a luxury, it’s a god given right. A right that people like you try to take away from the innocent. It’s easy to attack people that can’t defend themselves. But it’s another to do it to their face with even numbers. And trust me, Massacre with indeed be that. I look forward to avenging both Brianna and Angelle’s attacks with a statement. I’m not just going for a Drowning Current to end the match. I’m looking to hit it on both of you for good measure. Just so you know what it’s like to taste your own blood. Until then, I bid you adieu. My actions in the ring will do more talking than I ever could.”
