“It is amazing that such a tiny company that doesn’t pay enough to buy tea AND crumpets attracted all of these multi-millionaire playboy types.”
Brianna thought to herself as she made her way to her terminal to catch the flight to Middleton, Wisconsin. What brought that on was a weird coincidence as she walked through the airport. It was as she was passing by the gift shop and saw a magazine with “The Ripper” Danny B on the cover. She thinks it might have been GQ but she didn’t catch the title of the publication. It was peculiar to her as she pondered something interesting about the company she had recently joined and the people it had attracted to it. But those thoughts were halted as she continued down the airport and saw a HUGE advertisement that ran along the wall of the airport with the financer of OCW Bobbinette Carey on it. It seemed to be an advertisement for a soda pop of some kind or maybe it was Red Vines. Either way she found that kind of advertising way too extravagant. That lingering thought seeped into her head again. The coincidences of who OCW employed was beginning to seem more than just coincidences to her at this point.
But it was not until she passed the teenager wearing a peculiar shirt with a familiar face. Actually when she passed the young man, she let out a chuckle. The aggressive young man turned toward her with an angered expression.
Young Man: WHAT? You gotta a problem.
She chuckled even more …because young men were silly a lot. Or maybe it was because she still had the prescribed vicoden in her system due to the damage she took on Monday. She was still walking with a bit of a limp due to that lovely moment where she thought she had met a like-minded opponent but instead just another man controlled by his desire to be a flavor of the month (though he, and the rest of the roster, believes that they are fighting to be “the best.”). She turned to him with her lovely smile on her face.
Brianna: No problem at all, love. I just find your t-shirt interesting.
She looked at his t-shirt again and there he was; staring at her: Noah Mackenzie. She could not help but chuckle again.
Young Man: Noah Mackenzie is a legendary wrestler.
Brianna: I guess he isn’t he? What with being on t-shirts and all.
The teenager’s face then went from aggression to grief as he thought about his hero.
Young Man: It is just a damn shame that he retired from wrestling.
She thought that little comment was weird. The last time she checked, she was facing Noah Mackenzie on Massacre. Then it occurred to her that maybe OCW was such a small promotion that even a fan of on of the grapplers didn’t know about his come back to the ring.
Brianna: Actually love, he is back in the ring at a place called Online Championship Wrestling.
Young Man: Are you trolling me?
Brianna: I assure you I do not know what that means, sunshine. Go on the internet and see for yourself
She walked away from the aggressive young man thinking “wow, that yank is going to be shocked when he sees me against the greatest …and I suppose… most popular wrestler of all time …and some other sad bloke.” She walked to where her plane was boarding with her luggage as she slightly limped.

I am writing this as I am shot like a bullet to Wisconsin for my second research appointment in OCW on Massacre. I also find myself flying coach …mostly because I am NOT a millionaire and like to preserve my money. Why should I spend the pounds on an extra luxurious living when it is not necessary to live a full and complete life? Sometimes having all this wealth at your fingertips deludes your sense of self and gives a person a sense of entitlement that they do not deserve to have. Or something worse happens to their egos …they do not equal to the skill they have or had at one point. In this world we live, things change at the snap of one’s finger. A person might have been on top of the world two years ago, but if you do not work to keep up on whatever skillset you have that have made you those millions, someone will surpass you. But this millionaire, this bloke or bird still think that he or she are the athlete they once were …because they have the cash flow to say “hey gents, since I made money during this period that means I am still relevant.”
And that is what is bugging me about a very coincidental jaunt through the airport just now. I am seeing all of these OCW stars plastered all over magazines, advertisements, and t-shirts but that does not make very much sense now does it? Why are all of these very popular grapplers and Millionaire playboys flocking to our lovely company? Yes, I am proud to be in this industry and yes, I am proud to record my findings in OCW …but I am also a fresh face not only in this company but in this industry. And I am also not into this for fame and fortune the other gents in the company seem to be. Online Championship Wrestling is a very low paying company at this point …it is also a very low profile company at this place and time. Why would these so called legendary grapplers even be here to prove that they are still the best in the world?
Sure, it would be just smashing to say that they are here to put OCW on the map and it is a very lovely concept to believe. Unfortunately, nothing these gents have said or done have proven that THAT is their reason for being here. All these blokes go on about is titles and winning and being the greatest of all time. They are most certainly NOT here to help a small company make a name for itself in the industry of wrestling. Instead they are in this small company to keep their name alive but without challenging their own egos. Why have these yanks NOT tried joining the bigger entities in the industries …AND ADD TO THEIR FORTUNE AND NAME RECOGNITION THAT THEY CARE SO MUCH ABOUT? The math just does not add up to me as someone who makes a career out of studying how the human mind works. Nobody with those credentials and THAT ego would go to work for a company like OCW …UNLESS it was a fear of something; a fear of having become obsolete; a fear of being made foolish on broadcast television.
But if you come to OCW, a place that is just finding its footing on the internet; a place that some of these “legends of wrestling” believe only attract brawlers on a budget or virtual unknowns, that competition is non-existent …or so they think. So now what you have are these men who are all fighting to be big fishes in a small pond …this is why you have so many coming in to lay claim to the Central title on their debuts. There is no way that they would jaunt over to the big leagues and make such demands without being laughed out of the building and they all know that. And that is why they are here in a flat where no titles have handed out yet.
But I know something they do not …something they aren’t going to allow themselves to know because they could not handle this truth.
They are underestimating OCW athletes and OCW the company.
But I have seen OCW’s potential as a functioning unit. I have seen people like Roach refuse to go down no matter who they have thrown at him. I have seen President Dean constantly put on quality entertainment for his fans. And I have seen the company as a whole not be swayed by chaps who try to fill the company with filthy hyperbole that a lesser person and fan base would succumb to. Mario Maurako is fighting that losing battle. Lou Bruno realized that this week and Bobbinette Carey, being a wealthy person herself, was convinced of its potential and is the financial backer. Long story short dears: your ignorance will get you nowhere; your bravado will not have gold thrown at you.
Now, let’s bring this right back to my coming match at Massacre shall we and lets bring it to Noah Mackenzie. This bloke who is now coming out of retirement and is worth so much money. This man who claims that he is the rightful contender for the Central title based on who he was and what he did even after being out of the ring for so long. I said that he would be conditioned to not be so controlled by gold and greed; I guaranteed to break of him this need to have something around his waist to give him confidence or that he would just leave once he realized that things are harder here than he thinks they are. And I will indeed take part in that on Monday. His name and his legacy will not do him any good as this isn’t the companies he has been employed in before. This is a place full of hungry young competitors who want to make a name for themselves by showing up those millionaires who come here because they think it will be “easy.”
And this is the place that I have since called my flat and I am a person who doesn’t need praise, victories, wealth, or gold belts to hold up my trousers. I don’t fight with ignorance nor do I fight with my wallet. I fight with my mind and my heart and I do it because I enjoy the social and physical experiment it has become for me. If I got paid millions for it that would be meaningless …because it is something I would easily do for free.
Can Noah Mackenzie say the same things?
