Last Monday evening on OCW's premier weekly show, Massacre - Treat Cassidy was not on location in Loveland, Colorado at the Budweiser Events Center for the taping, marking the first show he's missed since taking over the company from incumbent President Dean back in July. Treat Cassidy, who is a glutton for media attention had this to say when asked about his absence.
"I was unable to make it to Colorado Monday night - If it's anyone's concern, I was in my native Miami meeting with a couple potential silent partners to pull backing from. Flying the staff, the roster, and Ian Bishop's entourage to Jerusalem for Genesis really put us into the red. Not to mention picking up Sara Twilight and Lilith's severance package and to top it all off, MJ Bell is suing myself and OCW as a company for breaching her contract and slanderous comments made towards her. It amazes me with $20 dollars and a lawyer anybody can sue anyone, for virtually anything - So needless to say -
Money is tight, as they say - real tight. Money out of my wallet is what's keeping OCW thriving at this very moment. I am footing every single bill out of my own personal accounts. I won't sugar coat anything, I will always be honest with each and everyone of my employees and co-staff. One of the reasons why I stuck my neck out and signed 'The Ripper' Danny B's contract two weeks ago. I'm not even sure that was the best decision, now we will be constantly competing with him and the CWF.
To silence anyone and everyone who thinks any differently as to why I was not in attendance Monday night, I can't change your thoughts but I can tell you officially that I doing all that I can so that OCW will survive, and not only survive but climb back to the very top of Pro-Wrestling where it should always remain.
That's why I didn't make the show. I know y'all media people like to speculate and analyze and talk crap about me being run out of my own company. Say what you want about Dean - but he has the best intentions for OCW, after all he did create this and put most of his own money along with mine to make Last Man Standing possible. I've always and will always say that each and everyone of you are important to me and our brand. From the Ashe Dawson's to the Alice Knights, Greniers, PerZag's - I personally cannot wait to crown a new World Heavyweight champion next weekend.
Every single competitor who fought their way into Last Man Standing along with the #1 contender PerZag has all the talent, potential and 'worth' to walk out of Fenway Park the champion of OCW. Let's continue to work together, produce solid shows and get our ratings back to where they we're before Dean and I's radio show spat. In Professional wrestling, we don't like to use the word "angle" but - it was that. A Shabazz, a work, call it what you want too - But let's get over it already. It had never been done before and Dean and I brought OCW to the forefront yet again with one single radio show. The influx of viewers skyrocketed. Ratings jumped through the roof. Bad for business? No, what's bad for business is people not showing up for work and dumping the biggest championship in wrestling like it was a piece of used bubble gum. THAT'S Bad for business.
While on that topic, I've been relatively quiet about the departure of MJ Bell, but for the record - I went out of my way - All the while against my fellow staff member's advice to keep MJ Bell a part of OCW. I was willing to let her keep the championship, too - After what she said and did. But, at the end of the day, I'm not going to beg someone to do anything. Firing Sara Twilight and Lilith as well as banning Kenshin Takamura was a business decision, nothing personal - but if you have a little spot of rust on your car, the rust spot is going to get bigger, and bigger, and end up eating a hole into the side of your car - and that's all Miss Twilight and Lilith we're. Rust on the side of OCW's hot rod. Mr. Takamura had on air spats with Dean and Ian Bishop, sure he's a heckuva competitor but he was paid $5,000 just to referee a Internet championship match at Genesis, all the while pushing some bottom tier federation he's apart of on everyone. That's not cool. "Duces" as the hipsters say these days.
Dean is back. Yes, if you don't like it - I'm sorry but you'll only have to accept it. Who owns the most percentage of the company? Me? Dean? Bishop? The answer is all of you - the wrestlers, the fans - You own it all. 100%. Dean and I share that same philosophy, Online Championship Wrestling is your promotion. All yours. It's what you make it. You want it back on top? Pull your weight. You want a title shot? Work for it. You want a better push? Show up for work and prove to us you want it, and I can guarantee you - it's yours.
Let's all make Last Man Standing the best pay-per-view of the year for pro-wrestling world wide. Y'all who are in the preview LMS match this Monday on Massacre - You wanna take out that entity that is Legion - PUT IN THE WORK!
See you all Monday night. We've got a big show in store for all y'all."
