I originally signed MJ Bell back in February along with Kenshin Takamura. MJ Bell was one of the most naturally gifted competitors I had ever signed...much like PerZag, just a pure, raw, talented competitor. I knew big things were in store for her.
Lately, I've said some things which have been unsavory...I think what people forget is that in the world of professional wrestling we say a lot of things to get our point across.
I've been labeled a chauvinist, misogynist, etc.
Let me ask you suckas this...if I was hellbent upon keeping the females of OCW down...would Brianna Casablancas have DOMINATED the first two months of OCW's existence? Would I have pushed Alice Knight to the top of the card during her first month in the company? Would I have sacrificed the career of Roach to put Alice Knight over? Would I have put MJ Bell over Sean Fuller? Would I have built AN ENTIRE PPV around a team of females (Brianna, MJ, Alice, Amber and Mia) in a War Games match that saw them beat the every living shit out of me?
I doubt it.
But, hey, I'm a chauvinist who will do whatever it takes to keep the women in OCW from reaching the Main Event. If you believe that, then I have some ocean front property in Kansas I'd like to sell ya
As a result of all of this, MJ Bell has decided to quit OCW, vacating the OCW World Title. The OCW World Title...our most prized possession. Last worn by the Face of OCW, Scott Syren nearly ten years ago. An 8 month build was placed around the title with OCW legends like Syren, Lurrr, Maurako, and Bifford chasing after it...alongside them were the faces of the NEW OCW, Pryde, Ian Bishop, Brianna Casablancas, Sean Fuller, Chad Vargas, Bob Grenier, Amber Ryan, Danny B, Mia Stone, Alice Knight, and PerZag...all giving everything they had for a chance to be the OCW World Champion.
Finally, the title was given to MJ Bell...the wrestler who rose above all the others. I was proud when I found out she won the title...proud to see how far she'd come...proud to know the adversity she fought through to attain that title...there was no doubt in my mind she would do the Title justice. She had my blessing.
I was wrong.
Two weeks later, she has dropped the title...staining it with disdain as she departs OCW.
I'm not angry...I'm not vengeful...I'm just disappointed. Disappointed that she wasn't strong enough to be OCW Champion...disappointed that myself, Treat, and Jack Kenny overestimated her grit and toughness.
I apologize to the wrestlers, I apologize to the staff, and I apologize to the fans.
This will never happen again.
I vow to make sure that our next World Champion is one worthy of holding the gold.
Last Man Standing is on the horizon...it traditionally produces some of the greatest moments in OCW history...this year will be no different.
