The camera suddenly turns on. Talon tilts her head as she adjusts the webcam, glancing at it on the screen to make sure it’s in position. She then backs away and flops on the couch.
"Pardon the boxes, moving from Charlotte, North Carolina after only a few weeks of actually being there has me totally not into unpacking. It’s kinda funny I’m here in Ohio though. This was the place I wanted to avoid.”
She shrugs.
“Such is life though. Things didn’t work out in Charlotte. The promotion there wasn’t my cup of tea and It’s not because it was a small promotion. It was because people there were more self-oriented. A lot of them lived double lives. Supermodels with tons of cash who suddenly decided they wanted to try wrestling. None of them in it for the long haul. The revolving door around there was constantly spinning and those coming in were just as bad as those going out. There were a few exceptions but hardly enough to give me the challenge I’m looking for.”
Wiping her mouth she snorts.
“I can still taste that bitch I bit. She totally fucking deserved it though. Tried to teach her there’s a difference between taking an opportunity because it’s there and taking it because you’ll do anything to win. Probably went in one ear and out the other, I mean the chick didn’t even know that at 18 you get a PAP test. She was toting herself as a giddy little virgin with hymen still intact. Gloated about it even. There had to have been some child abuse going on in that family.”
“So here I am in OCW. Ready for my first match in a high school gymnasium. At least I missed when shows were in that bar next to that nasty looking strip club. I’m not going to go into how the mighty have fallen. We hear that shit all the time. Big name wrestler in one company falls from grace when the company tanks and ends up living off scraps again. I’m alright with scraps as long as those fighting for scraps with me are ready for a knockdown throwdown fight. I’m not here to make friends, join factions or kiss your ass Richard. I want you to bring something to me. Show me that I didn’t pick the wrong place to sign on the dotted line with. Don’t make me think that I’m stuck in the 1920’s like the majority of the men in that previous company did. Either you’re here to fight and win or you’re here to get your ass beat. That’s the only two options you have."
Talon gets up and moves closer to the camera. As she speaks, her right hand reaches over to the power switch on the camera.
“It’s also the only warning you get.”
The scene ends abruptly as Talon powers off the camera.
