Post Clash 10 FTW
1) Ian The Bishop
Ian finally captured the elusive Central title by defeating Mia Stone and MJ Bell. It's Ian's second Central Title win and, some would argue, his first legitimate championship reign.
2) Scott Syren
Syren continued his unbeaten streak by narrowly defeating Chad Vargas and Bob Grenier to become the first ever OCW Western Champion and attaining his first recognized championship of the new OCW era. Oh, wait, he was Internet Champion...nevermind. Still a nice win though.
3) Mia Stone
Despite losing to Ian Bishop, Mia made an incredible leap from talented performer to legitimate Main Event competitor. She pushed Ian to the limit and nearly defeated him for the Central Title. Mia will be a mainstay in the OCW main event for a long time to come.
4) Pryde
Much like his Operation Zero brethren, Pryde stayed undefeated in defeating Sean Fuller in one of the more brutal matches you'll ever witness. Pryde overcome an emotionally taxing week and was able to maintain a level of focus required to retain his OCW Southern Title.
5) Danny B
In their first Tag Team Title defense since winning the belts back in March, Danny B and Amber Ryan outlasted Victory Denied to remain OCW Tag Team Champions. Many experts will tell you that it was Danny B who carried the load this week and is mostly responsible for their victory.
6) PerZag
The Pro Wrestling rookie continued his impressive streak by downing a very game Jason Xavier in the first ever 'Walk the Plank' match to remain OCW Internet Champion. PerZag now sits at #1 on the OCW Contenders list and many are wondering...when will he get his crack at the Main Event?
7) MJ Bell
I'll be the first to admit that this seems too low for someone the caliber of MJ Bell...especially when you consider the impact she had at Clash. However, this just speaks to the level of competition within the organization. MJ Bell, much like Mia, completely took herself to a new level showing that she is a true Main Event level player in OCW. After giving the best performance of her OCW career, she shocked the world and sided with the sociopath, Ian Bishop, helping him attain the Central Title. One of the more shocking heel turns in company history.
8) Chad Vargas
The reigning Heel of the Month for May...Chad Vargas continues to impress OCW staff and personnel with his brash attitude and unwillingness to apologize for anything he says or does. In other words, he's a perfect fit around here. Vargas nearly defeated Scott Syren to become the OCW Western Champion and rumors have it he is being groomed for another championship shot at Sinful Nature.
9) Dangerous Dan
Finally...FINALLY...Dangerous Dan broke through and won his first OCW title. Dan was pegged as the flag bearer for OCW when the company first reopened back in January...unfortunately, after several missteps and hard luck, Dan fell to the back of the pack and became somewhat of an after thought. Rather than quit and take his talents elsewhere...Dan stuck it out and nearly defeated Chad Vargas for a spot in the OCW Western Title match at Clash. He rebounded from that narrow defeat to knock off OCW Hall of Fame hopeful, Curt Canon, to become the new OCW LightWeight Champion. OCW staff is very hopeful Dan's winning ways will continue as he looks to further elevate himself up the contenders page.
10) Itsumade
Sure, when he first joined OCW the front office was like "who?"...but he has quieted all his doubters and detractors by barreling through the Month of May with an undefeated record and obtaining the first ever 'Oh Shit' contract over a very game and supremely talented Mark Storm. When will Itsumade cash in his contract? What title does he have his sights set on? I'm told he isn't looking to wait long before making a huge statement.
On the Outside Looking In
1) Mark Storm
So close to defeating Itsumade at Clash...just a slight misstep cost him the 'Oh Shit' Contract. I'm told Storm has taken this defeat well and is using it to improve his in-ring work. If Storm can improve just slightly, the sky is the limit for him here in OCW.
2) Bob Grenier
'Lopaka' as the locals called him...Grenier won over an entire state and nearly left that state as the first ever OCW Western Champion. Grenier is everything OCW looks for in a wrestler and is going to make his mark sooner rather than later.
3) Sean Fuller
Despite the fact he went 0-2 at Clash, Fuller made a huge impact and pushed some extremely talented wrestlers to the brink. There is no shame in losing to Amber, Danny or Pryde...Fuller was just unlucky to be on the wrong side of the coin this past Sunday. Good things are bound to come Fuller's way...patience is always rewarded.
