Alice Knight?
Alice Knight’s absence was noticeable on this week’s Massacre. While OCW tried playing down the void, I’m told there is legitimate concern backstage that her mind isn’t where it should be heading into her first OCW Title defense.
MJ Bell!
On the other hand, former OCW Champion MJ Bell has been training vigorously for her OCW Title shot and appears ready. In fact, Treat Cassidy has told anyone who will listen that she’s in the best shape of her career heading into Monday’s clash with Alice Knight.
Caution on His Way Out?
I’m told the old timer might not have much longer…IN OCW…not to live, that’d be utterly macabre, right? Things just aren’t stacking up in favorable fashion for the former Savage Champion and he’s beginning to think about *gasp* retirement.
Shade and Clemmens
Max Shade continues to impress. His win over Nathan Dravers was his most impressive outing yet…I mean, did everyone SEE that bodyslam? Dare hasn’t been heard from much lately. But I’m told he’s gearing up for the behemoth, Shade. This will be Dare’s first title defense in OCW…can he continue his success or will Max Shade be too much?
Vargas/TIO 2
It’s official. Sure, the means might have been a little dirty…but a rematch from February’s Match of the Month is on. These two genuinely despise each other and, given the stipulation, this match should at the very least equal their epic contest from a month ago.
CJ Confident
This isn’t really news. More a lifestyle…but CJ O’Donnell is feeling very confident in his chances at dethroning Mack O’Connor at Like There’s No Tomorrow. It’s an Irish themed brawl at an Irish themed event and could prove to be the best match of all. Holy shit that rhymes! This will also be Mack’s first title defense…he’s yet to successfully defend a title in OCW. I’m sure that’s a stat he’d like to erase.
Oh Shit Odds
Vegas has released the odds for the Oh Shit contract and they are somewhat surprising
PerZag 4-1
Bob Grenier 5-1
Iggy Hardy 7-1
Johathan Dravers 10-1
Chaotic 12-1
Nathan Dravers 15-1
Mark Storm 17-1
Damian K’ 20-1
A ton of money is being levied on Grenier and PerZag, which should come as no surprise. Iggy’s low odds are somewhat of a surprise, given his recent struggles…and Jonathan having better odds than his twin is note worthy…it should make for an interesting conversation between the two.
Naturally Chaotic and Damian K’ haven’t shown enough to be considered favorites and Mark Storm’s condition and focus is indeterminable and therefore unpredictable.
Regardless, I think we can all agree that any one of these competitors could emerge victorious so, if you want my advice, go with the big odds. Pays better.
Massacre Rules
It’s going to happen…Lance Savage and Robert Morbidus will finally get their Massacre rules match. No punch will be pulled, no weapon held back…expect these two to go all out in their efforts to make the other one bleed. Savage is up 1-0 in this rivalry so Morbidus needs a win, otherwise the rivalry could be over.
Curt Canon HOF Induction
It’s set. Canon goes into the hallowed Hall of Fame this Sunday. I’m told Scott Syren will be inducting the former OCW Champion. Marcus Welsh is also set to attend. With Welsh having no idea Syren is employed by OCW…how will this be explained? What will be his reaction? Should be interesting to see!
Free Agents in Key West
A ton of free agents have procured tickets to Key West for this week’s show. Contracts are being drawn up as we speak. GM Marcus Welsh is in town and looking to expand the already deep, talented roster. Who will be at the show? Who will sign? You’ll have to tune in to find out.
