Adi Gold: Welcome to the show folks! Sitting with me today is one of the most talented and very stunning wrestlers in OCW right now. She also happens to be the wife of the owner of OCW, Thaddeus Duke. She is the one and only, Sahara!! Welcome to the show Lauren... or Sahara? We'll stick with Sahara... how are you doing today? Also, good Marnin'...
SAHARA: OMG, I was hopin' you'd say that to me! Good Marnin' to you, too, Adi Gold! I don't know why, but I love that so much. As for how I'm doin', I've been better, but I ain't gonna sit here and complain on a golden throne.
Adi Gold: Question 1. Well you are still semi-new to OCW. But you have been in other companies. What would be some of your favorite matches so far in this sport?
~Sahara sits there, contemplating this question with that confused bunny look on her face.
SAHARA: Uh, well... the circle where I came from ain't really around anymore, and I had some pretty great matches back in the day, but in sticking with modern times, I really liked facing Cypher even though he beat me with Ball Ball Ball's help. It's three balls now, correct? Anyway, I'm sorry, I tend to ramble sometimes... and Claudius was great, and back in FIGHT I enjoyed facing James Raven... and beating him, which I'm sure is unfinished business... and that's about it.
Adi Gold: Question 2. And some of your favorite rivals? Any come to mind?
SAHARA: I have no rivals, Adi, because I have no equals. Though I'll really enjoy watching Easton getting his ass kicked at the Mix in that, whatever the hell that is? A house of horrific horrors something or other? I dunno, but it'll be fun to watch my husband pound that vile fuck into--oh, oops, I'm sorry, not sure if I'm supposed to be dropping f bombs here? My bad.
Adi Gold: Question 3. What songs, artists or bands are you into right now?
SAHARA: Uh, right now? None... I kinda grew outta bopping to music while singing into a hairbrush back in high school... I'm the kinda person that wouldn't go to a concert unless you paid for me... and begged me... cuz the music's usually better on like my iPhone anyways. OMG, I did love the Top Gun Maverick soundtrack, though! Growing up, my favorite band was RUSH, because they're like the only good memories I have of my father... so... yeah.
Adi Gold: Question 4. Any film or TV shows your watching or love? Care to share a few titles?
SAHARA: Yeah, I really really love Madison Tower... cuz I'm in it and I get to hang out with Seb and Sloane and Denzel Porter on the set! And it's awesome! *laughs* But when it comes to other stuff, I love Tombstone, Back to the Future, that new Top Gun, the new Spider-Man... oh and that X-Men one where Wolverine travels back in time? Looooved that. And Logan. Oh, and uh, National Treasure is like a guilty pleasure. I could probably talk about this all day, so... as for TV shows, Breaking Bad was my all-time favorite, and right now I'm totally loving Ted Lasso!
Adi Gold: Question 5. So if Sahara isn't a wrestling in 2022. What other job would she be doing right now? Other than modeling, of course.
SAHARA: I think I'd like to eventually go full circle. I started my career as a valet -- which a lotta people don't know -- and I ain't saying I wanna do that again, but maybe manage? I think that could be a lotta fun when I'm at the age where I just can't take the punishment anymore... but like... I dunno, is nothing an answer? Cuz I've always wanted to do nothing. I'd like to stay home and play video games all day with my kid...
Adi Gold: Question 6, Do you intake alcohol? What are your favorite beverages?
SAHARA: *laughs* Is water wet? Listen, I don't trust people that don't drink... like, at all! What's so great in their lives that they wanna stay sober anyway? I mean, my life is pretty great... and I love me some vodka martinis with bleu cheese olives, red wine... vodka and tonic with lime, red wine, rum and diet coke... red wine... I love pumpkin beers during the fall... more red wine... and a drink you totally have to try we invented. They got these zero-cal drinks called ICE at the grocery store, they're in all these flavors... so you take that, vodka and a bit of malibu rum, and you got summer in a glass. Lemme tell ya...
Adi Gold: Question number 7 You surely have wrestled in many states and countries? But any dream places to wrestle in front of for the first time... or one more time?
SAHARA: I don't really like going to foreign countries... no offense, but I don't feel safe... and look at me, I stick out just a bit. But if I had to pick, I'd love to go back to Tokyo... my career was kinda made there... and I haven't forgotten it. So yeah, Japan. If that's where Tokyo is. *giggles*
Adi Gold: Question 8. Clearly you are infatuated with the sexy, charming and talented OCW and XWF star, Thad Duke? But do you have any other crushes in the business? Or is 'Thad's Your Man' and that's all you need?
SAHARA: *Scoffs* Oh, hell no... I love my husband, but let's not pretend I was some sorta angel in all of this. There's a great quote from one of my favorite movies I mentioned earlier... Tombstone, so lemme just steal what she said to explain myself... 'I'm a woman, and I like men. If that means I'm not "lady-like", then I guess I'm just not a lady... but at least I'm honest.' To name a few? James Raven is sizzling hot. Dane Preston. Uh, PIC doesn't hurt my eyes all that much, either. Ricky... Ricky Rodriguez was always a bit of a cutie, too. There's others but... those are the ones that came to mind.
Adi Gold: Question number 9. Some of Sahara's favorite meals?
SAHARA: OMG I like steak and lobster... crab legs too! Ribs, pork chops... oh, and lamb chops! Yeah, I like eating animals... but my absolute favorite meal... like if I could have one last meal sorta thing? Thanksgiving Dinner... *stares off into space for a few moments* It's... another one of those things where I got like... glimmers of good memories from when I was a kid... and we used to go to my aunt's house every Thanksgiving and it was just the most amazing everything... when my grandmother died, it was like I discovered she was the glue that held it all together. So yeah... sorry for rambling again.
Adi Gold: Question 10. Who in OCW or anywhere else in the wrestling world would you love to get in the ring with at least once. Past or present?
SAHARA: Right now? Easton Alexander for touching my fu-- for touching my kid. But I promised to let my husband take care of that. Other than him? PIC, CJ, um, Crash? Killa Kali, cuz I know I can kill 'em... Cypher so I can get my win back, and oh, the head flavor of Strader! Tamika for sure. I um, I prefer to wrestle people I got a personal beef with, cuz like... I feel like the crowd can feel that, when it's personal... and quite frankly, I'm rich now, so what the fuck do I care about prize money?
Adi Gold: And finally. Question 11. Any goals for Sahara in her first OCW run? Any championship you want? Other than the BIG one, of course. The OCW Championship. Do you plan on chasing that belt?
SAHARA: I sincerely believe a title is what you make it... titles don't make champions, Adi, champions make titles. I know that's cliché, but it's true. The only thing the title does is show you got what it takes in the ring... and it then grants you the opportunity to transcend. I've seen world champions that if you didn't see their name listed as "champion", you wouldn't even know it. And right now, I see no better title in this company than the Trans-Atlantic Championship -- and that includes the quote-unquote big one -- offense intended. And as the number one contender to the TA Title... I will have my day in court. I promise ya that...
Adi Gold: These were awesome answers. Any last words you'd like to tell the OCW roster or audience? Advice? A Warning? Or a quick shout out?
SAHARA: Yeah, please fasten your seatbelts, return the tray tables to their locked and upright positions and prepare... for what's coming next.
Adi Gold: I want to thank Mrs. Duke for joining me here on this episode today. And thanks to the OCW viewers for watching the show and enjoying the OCW content. Have a GOLDgeous day and see you next time.
