ROLE Models MASSACRE vs. Dylan Thomas [3.14.22] |
Well, that didn’t take long. Not even a month in OCW, and Kelson made his first enemy in the form of Veronica Strader. As they battled their hearts out, Strader shocked audiences nationwide by low blowing The Man Of Steel, showing desperation as the young up and comer was edging close to victory. For the first time in his career, he’d been pinned in singles action. Yet as she holds on to that TransAtlantic Championship, clutching it for dear life, she mistakenly lit a fire under Kelson’s ass to chase after her for vengeance. We see Kelson standing across the camera, wearing a mildly annoyed expression on his face as he stands in Limerick, Ireland. Behind him is a solid brick wall, with etchings of his initials here and there.
“Here I stand before you, The Citizens of The OCW, once again speaking my mind. In my mind, there’s a high, and a low.”
Kelson began to pace slowly from side to side, looking to each side, first, the left, wearing a soft smile.
“I kicked off 2022 in the best way possible by making the jump to this company. Fans were raving for the appearance of The Man Of Steel, and I rewarded those fans by putting on one of the best matches in recent history against Bob Grenier, a Hall Of Famer, a former World Champion… and I beat him. No matter what tricks he had in his bag, I outmaneuvered them and came out victorious after a Mighty No.123. That’s the high… then the low… ”
He turned to his right with a frown.
“I came in like a house of fire, main eventing for the second show in a row against Veronica Strader, our supposed “champion”, who believes that she deserves respect. She believes she’s the pinnacle of what this company is, screaming at the top of her lungs that she's OCW Proud and Strong… so tell me this, fans… is OCW about low blows? Is OCW about disgracing a perfectly competitive match, all because someone couldn’t handle the thought of having ONE loss on their perfect record?”
Classic OCW, baby.
“I hate to say I told you so, but I had this hunch that she was a liar, a liar who has turned her back on everyone. All of the air time, all of this boasting about how she’s one of the best… only for her to expose herself. Oh believe me, we’re all gonna hear her side of the story, because to her, that’s all that matters. People like her can’t handle the idea of being the “bad guy” in any situation. I ask, if she was so talented, if she was such a fighting champion, then how come she had to cheat to beat a rookie? Why didn’t she just fight me with everything she had?”
He delivers the most honest to God shrug of confusion ever seen.
“Who knows? There’s more to this Veronica Strader business, and one day I’m gonna get payback, but I’m more focused on what lies ahead for me this week. As we find ourselves going forward to Luck Of The Violent, OCW fans are about to be treated to a blockbuster match between myself, and Dylan Thomas.”
A small pause for you, the audience, because everyone’s a Dylan Thomas fan…
Right?
“Dylan, not only did you call out myself and Veronica, but you made it a point to show respect to me. For that, I thank you. It’s still bizarre for me to hear all of this praise… this admiration for myself, but from the fans, from the boys in the back, I humbly accept it. I also accept the fact that you, Dylan, are a man of honor. A man that went through hell and back for your family. Whether it was your feud with Peter Vaughn, or coming home each week with a check to provide for them, you’ve shown OCW you can commit to something greater than yourself as a stand up guy. Not many can do it, not many can say they can provide for those they love the most. Besides that, your ability, your skills, your undying spirit, I’ve got a tough task ahead of me this week.”
For a moment, Kelson raises his hands slightly, looking over his own palms.
“But, it’s a task I can see myself completing. Some people tend to doubt themselves… their ability… but to me, nothing is impossible. I proved that against Bob Grenier. I proved that by nearly beating Veronica Strader, and now? I’ve main evented three Massacre events, solidifying myself as a main event player here. It didn’t take long, people didn’t think I could do it, but here I am, at the top of the mountain, running with the big dogs in this big field. So if I can do all of that, I can beat you, Dylan. I can beat a former Craze Champion in the middle of that ring to bounce back from my previous loss.”
With the power of his undying spirit, of his resilient soul, he clenched his fists.
“I respect the hell out of you, and unlike some douchey, scared turncoat who knows who they are, I don’t need to talk shit about you. I refuse to. I refuse to disrespect a man who has done so much for the OCW. I ask you to do for me what you’ve done to the OCW, and make me better. Show me what it is that I need to learn in order to get back to where I want to be through pain, thorough violence, by putting on the best God damn match you can. If you can do that, then friend, I’ll forever be in your debt.”
“Until Monday arrives, be safe, because I plan on pushing you to your breaking point in order to see who the better man is.”
