: Sand. For miles and miles, all we see in sand in such an amount that Anakin Skywalker would pop the universe's biggest hate boner. This is Death Valley. Like an Outcast or PerZag autograph booth at a wrestling convention, this place is barren and devoid of almost anything interesting to see. Unlike the said booth, the desert has one thing of interest; The Great Illuminatus! The Pyramid stands proud as random vehicles start pulling up to it. Have you seen The Mummy or any movie with people exploring pyramids? All the folks here are dressed as stereotypical archeologists. As people start getting out of the vehicles, we can hear the sound of a helicopter nearing the Pyramid. The people look up, covering their faces as the helicopter whips up wind and sand as it comes down for a landing.
The helicopter lands gently on the sand and the blades slow as the engine is turned off. The door slides open and out steps Mike Zybala dressed as Indian Jones, complete with whip and hat. Zybala looks up and stares at the majestic structure that is The Pyramid. One of the people walk up to Zybala with an outstretched hand. Zybala looks away from the Pyramid and shakes the person's hand. Up close, we can see that it's Marcus Welsh! :
Welsh: As I live and breathe! Dr. Zybala! Good to see you!
Zybala: Professor Welsh! It has been quite some time since I've seen you! I didn't expect to see you at this site.
Welsh: And miss the biggest archeological discovery of the past fifty years?! I don't think so, old chap.
Zybala: I would say so. It's not every day that you get to unearth the secrets of the ancients royals and champions of yore. Say, is Doctor Moto going to be joining us?
Welsh: Sadly no. The old chap is in Egypt investigating some ancient tomb that may or may not have been the inspiration for some children's card game.
: Zybala nods solemnly as he looks back towards the Great Illuminatus Pyramid. It is an impressive sight. It is the only good thing Poblano has done, but Zybala won't admit that out loud. He and Welsh walk over to the similarly dressed people. The group looks at the pair and every one exchanges pleasantries. Zybala's eyes narrow when he sees a familiar, old face. Tension fills the air. :
Zybala: Who invited Professor Zagelle to this dig? Did you all forget how crazed he went on the last expedition?! I know he used to be respected in this field but that was when he was younger. Now, he's a shadow of his once illustrious self.
Welsh: To be fair, he was the champion of the last expedition. We would have never found that hidden tomb without him!
Zybala: Because the old codger went around setting off every trap due to his crazed mental state. The doctors say it was the early stages of dementia. I'm sorry Zagelle, you're not mentally fit enough for this anymore.
P.Z.: Are you saying I'm not worthy anymore, you whipper snapper!?!
Zybala: Sadly, I am. I admire everything you've done in your illustrious career, but your last moment of glory was due to pure luck. We can't have you on this dig.
: Zybala nods and two people walk up to P.Z.'s sides. They grab his arms and toss him into a nearby jeep and close the door. The jeep then pulls off as the angry screams of the once great man fade in the distance. Zybala then turns and smiles at the rest of the group and gestures at the Pyramid. They all walk up to the impressive structure and stop at the base of The Great Illuminatus. They walk around the base trying to find an entrance, but to no avail. Everyone is baffled. Zybala places his hand on his chin, deep in thought. An idea seems to come to him as he takes a deep breath and lets out a loud "HOOT!" The archeologists jump slightly from surprise and stare at Zybala, who looks a bit embarrassed. The embarrassment passed when a low rumble can be heard. The group looks at the Pyramid and a wall of bricks begins to slide to the side, revealing an ornate doorway depicting a beautiful woman with an owl on an outstretched arm. Zybala smiles as the others look flummoxed. :
Welsh: How did you do that?!
Zybala: I took a gamble and it worked. You see, Poblano not only had this built to hide all of his treasures and ill-gotten gains, but also as a shrine to the glory of OCW and his owl goddess, Ragana. I was hoping hooting like an owl would open up a hidden door.
Welsh: Good show, old bean. Shall we enter?
Zybala: Ladies and Gentlemen, immortality awaits.
: Zybala grabs a nearby torch, pulls a lighter from his pocket and lights the torch. Everyone else uses flashlights. Zybala takes the first step past the threshold and the group follows. As soon as everyone is in the Pyramid, the doorway shuts! They turn and stare as Welsh rushes over and feels around the wall. After a few moments and a hoot later, he turns back to the group. :
Welsh: We're not getting out this way anymore, gang. Onwards and forwards from here on.
: The group continues their journey into the Pyramid. They pass metal detectors, ticket counters and merchandise stands; all of which are covered in a thin layer of dust and spiderwebs. Apparently, Poblano didn't deem it appropriate to hire any staff to keep things clean before he disappeared with the real ZyBALDa and the owl statue. They soon walk past a trailer. Even in the dim light, chunky mustard packets and crawling ants can be seen all around the trailer. One of the archeologists (Chadwick, let's name him) looks at it with disgust. :
Chadwick: It seems like we aren't the first ones here, gents. It appears that some hick like that Bob Grenier has beat us to this discovery.
: This gets a few chuckles and titters from almost the whole group, except for a frowning Zybala. :
Zybala: Two things, Chadwick. One; Never disrespect Bob in my presence. He earned my respect when we fought at Lost at Sea. I won that encounter, but just barely. While I feel if we fought again, the result would be the same, Bob will always have my respect for being a tough sonofabitch. Number Two, this isn't an unwanted guest. This is a shrine built by Poblano to revere Alice Knight. He once thought that she was an avatar of Ragana and wanted to treat her with the same reverence. Let's see how well he did.
: Zybala walks up to the trailer and opens the door. The inside is a perfect replica of Alice Knight's trailer. If you have never seen it, don't worry about it, just take my word for it. Sitting in the corner is the old OCW Oceanic championship. Many OCW faithful will remember when Alice beat Bradley Carrington for the belt at Lost at Sea. Chadwick walks over and admires the title. :
Chadwick: I'll be damned. No one has seen the Oceanic Championship for years! Many have thought it was lost to time. This is an amazing find. It will be a great prize for the archeology community.
Zybala: It's rare, sure, but it's not the most impressive sight to behold in this pyramid. Best to leave it behind so it won't weigh us down. Plus, we don't know if it's booby trapped.
Chadwick: Pfft. You just want to be the only one to walk away with something. A find like this will make me tenured at the university! I'm taking it with me.
: Chadwick picks up the belt and holds it greedily to his chest. A loud click can be heard as a panel opens up in the wall where the title was. Thousands of ants crawl out from the hole and swarm on James who groans with disgust. He drops the Oceanic title and tries to swipe away the ants to no avail. His groans turn to screams of pain as the others can see the ants start to burrow into Chadwick's skin! The others rush out of the trailer and shut the door behind them. This muffles the screams only slightly. Everyone stares at the trailer in horror for a little while as the screams lessen, and eventually stop. They look at one another and Zybala finally walks towards the door and opens it. He peeks in and quickly pulls his head out of the entrance way. He is pale as a ghost. :
Zybala: New rule. Don't, touch, anything! At least not without investigating it first.
Welsh: What of Chadwick? Is there anything we can do to help?
Zybala: Yeah, have a closed casket funeral. I don't know if he's dead or in shock right now, but I think those things are turning him into a colony hive. What deal did Poblano make with Ragana to get those kind of ants???
: A few in the group start saying they need to leave. Zybala merely motions to the way they came into the pyramid. :
Zybala: You're free to go, but I'm staying. I came here for one thing that has eluded me for years. The OCW World Championship! I know Poblano has hidden it somewhere in here and I'm going to finally claim it as my own. Too many times it has slipped through my grasp for me to give up now. I last found it in the wastelands of Canada after months of searching, only for Poblano to come in and steal it from me at the last moment after his mystic living mummy stabbed me in the leg. He is a blight on the archeological and wrestling community! Me getting the OCW World Championship will force Poblano out of this business forever! And I'm willing to risk anything or go through anyone for that to happen. Leave if you must, but I aim to go forward!
: Zybala turns to go deeper into the pyramid as the others look at each other. A few turn back to find a way out while the rest follow Zybala. After many hours of walking, exploring, and dead ends, the group walks into a small 10 by 10 room. As they enter the room, a wall slams down to block the entrance. They scramble in a panic and start trying to lift the trap wall, but it doesn't budge. They then shine their lights around the room trying to find a way out but have no such luck. All the walls are bare, except for the opposite wall from the entrance point. Hanging on it are several varieties of Guy Fawkes masks and The Trans-Atlantic Championship! Above them, engraved on the wall, is a strange language. The lone lady of the group steps forward and starts to study the inscription. :
Zybala: Can you make out what it says Professor Straider?
Straider: It's a mixture of Old Baltic and newer Latvian. From what I can make out it says " Fortune favors the bold. Greed punishes the eager. Modesty is the path to freedom. Tread not over open waters." I think it's some sort of clue.
Archeologist 4: Well I'm not leaving here empty handed. "Fortune favors the bold." I see a gold mask that has my name on it!
Zybala: Thomas! Wait!
: But Zybala's warning falls on deaf ears. Thomas walks over to the wall and grabs a gold mask. As soon as his hand touches, he starts to convulse! A buzzing can be heard as Thomas continues to convulse. He soon releases the mask, falling to the ground. Welsh rushes over to check on him, placing two fingers on Thomas's neck. Welsh waits a few seconds before sadly shaking his head. Before Zybala can say anything, Straider goes to grab the Trans-Atlantic title. A clunk is heard and the floor falls under Straider, dropping her into a pit before the trap door closes again. This leaves only Zybala and Welsh remaining.
Welsh stands up away from Thomas and stares intently at the masks, as does Zybala. Welsh moves towards the masks, and reaches out for one. Zybala tries to stop him, but he is too late. Welsh pulls off a plain looking mask from the wall, and a secret passageway opens next to the masks. Zybala looks dumbstruck as Welsh looks back at him, smirking. :
Welsh: "Modesty is the path to freedom." That mask had no designs. It was pretty plain or " modest." Shall we proceed?
Zybala: Immortality awaits, Marcus. Let's go, old friend.
: The duo go through the secret passage which melds into a long corridor. Eventually, they end up in a dark room. Welsh shines his flashlight as Zybala slowly waves his torch around. He notices a row of torches lining the wall and proceeds to light them all. With more Illumination, they can see this room is a pharaoh's treasure room. Gold, jewels, and the like fill the room with a golden sarcophagus in the center. On top of the royal coffin lies the OCW World Championship! Zybala takes a step forward when a magic portal suddenly appears next to the sarcophagus. Out from the brilliant light steps Gregory Poblano! He is dressed in ancient Egyptian priest robes while holding the owl statue! :
Zybala/Welsh: Poblano!
Poblano: That's far enough, Zybala. I'm surprised you made it this far, but like always, you'll never get this title. Not while I am blessed with Ragana's power. Not while I have MY champion!
: Poblano turns towards the sarcophagus and holds the owl statue high. :
Poblano: Ancient spirit of Ragana! Transform this decayed, decrepit form into Outcast-Ra The Ever Living!!
: A wind rushes through the room and the torches flicker as if they'll go out. The lid of the sarcophagus flies open, sending the OCW title flying into a pile of treasure. A mummy rises from the coffin as Poblano laughs manically. Another portal opens up behind him and Poblano disappears through it. The mummy gets out of its sarcophagus and looks around the room. It spots Zybala and Welsh, but pays them no mind. It keeps scanning the room and it's eyes stop on the world title. He starts to shuffle towards it. :
Welsh: It's after the world title just like last time!
Zybala: I don't think so, you bag of bones. You're not keeping me from that a second time.
: Zybala darts forward and rushes past Outcast-Ra, grabbing the title first. The undead creature growls with anger, and swings its arm at Zybala. The blow connects, sending Zybala crashing into a wall. Zybala falls into a pile of treasure, still holding on to the belt. Outcast-Ra starts to advance towards Zybala, arms outstretched, when it stops to pick up a ceremonial knife. Zybalabis shaking out the proverbial cobwebs when he looks up to see the mummy standing over him. The mummy brings down the knee and stabs Zybala in his good leg! Zybala screams in pain as Outcast-Ra raises the knife again.
Zybala tries to move out of the way, but is still reeling from crashing into the wall. Before it can bring down the knife again, a loud crash can be heard. Outcast-Ra takes a staggering step forward, dropping the knife before it turns around. Zybala sees a nickel sized hole in the back of the mummy's head. He cranes his neck a little and sees a grinning Welsh with his arm stretched out, holding a gun.
The mummy shuffles towards Welsh, who begins to fire at Outcast-Ra. The mummy powers forward as each bullet crashes into its body. The grin fades from Welsh's face as his gun clicks empty and the mummy still isn't going down. Welsh starts to back away, quickly backing into a wall. He holds his gun like a club and takes a few swings at Outcast-Ra, but it does nothing. The mummy grabs Welsh by the neck and lifts him up against the wall! Welsh hammers the living corpse's arm with the gun with no results. Welsh starts to fade and his strikes get weaker by the second. His eyelids flutter as consciousness slips away until the mummy drops him.
Welsh falls to the floor, coughing and sputtering. He looks up and sees something pointing out of the mummy's eye socket. Outcast-Ra turns around and Welsh sees a scepter of sorts sticking out of the back of the mummy's skull. Zybala is standing there looking triumphant, until the mummy takes a swing at him. Zybala ducks the blow and goes behind Outcast-Ra. He raises the world title and smashes it against the scepter, driving it deeper into the skull. The hole widens, spreading cracks throughout Outcast-Ra's skull. It turns to face the pair and Zybala limps a few steps back. Then, grabbing the title tight, Zybala ignores the pain of his bleeding leg, swings the belt forward with all his strength! It smashes right into the weakened head of the mummy, shattering it into pieces! The rest of the body crumbles and falls to the floor. :
Welsh: Good show! Well done! Now let us get out of here before Poblano comes back with more magical creepies.
Zybala: Not yet. I need to do something and I need your help with it.
: Welsh is confused by this statement. The confusion grows as Zybala lays on top of the body of Outcast-Ra, hooking it's leg. Zybala looks up at Welsh and then at the World Title and back at Welsh. Realization dawns in Welsh's eyes as he drops next to Zybala and smacks the ground three times. Zybala gets off of the decayed, rotten body of the once proud champion. Zybala grabs the world title as Welsh helps him stand up. Zybala slings the championship over his shoulder and puts his free arm around Welsh's shoulders. Welsh helps a victorious Zybala out of the crypt as the scene fades to black. :

A mummy rises from the coffin as Poblano laughs manically. Another portal opens up behind him and Poblano disappears through it. The mummy gets out of its sarcophagus and looks around the room. It spots Zybala and Welsh, but pays them no mind. It keeps scanning the room and it's eyes stop on the world title. He starts to shuffle towards it. :
Welsh: It's after the world title just like last time!
Zybala: I don't think so, you bag of bones. You're not keeping me from that a second time.
: Zybala darts forward and rushes past Outcast-Ra, grabbing the title first. The undead creature growls with anger, and swings its arm at Zybala. The blow connects, sending Zybala crashing into a wall. Zybala falls into a pile of treasure, still holding on to the belt. Outcast-Ra starts to advance towards Zybala, arms outstretched, when it stops to pick up a ceremonial knife. Zybalabis shaking out the proverbial cobwebs when he looks up to see the mummy standing over him. The mummy brings down the knee and stabs Zybala in his good leg! Zybala screams in pain as Outcast-Ra raises the knife again.
Zybala tries to move out of the way, but is still reeling from crashing into the wall. Before it can bring down the knife again, a loud crash can be heard. Outcast-Ra takes a staggering step forward, dropping the knife before it turns around. Zybala sees a nickel sized hole in the back of the mummy's head. He cranes his neck a little and sees a grinning Welsh with his arm stretched out, holding a gun.
The mummy shuffles towards Welsh, who begins to fire at Outcast-Ra. The mummy powers forward as each bullet crashes into its body. The grin fades from Welsh's face as his gun clicks empty and the mummy still isn't going down. Welsh starts to back away, quickly backing into a wall. He holds his gun like a club and takes a few swings at Outcast-Ra, but it does nothing. The mummy grabs Welsh by the neck and lifts him up against the wall! Welsh hammers the living corpse's arm with the gun with no results. Welsh starts to fade and his strikes get weaker by the second. His eyelids flutter as consciousness slips away until the mummy drops him.
Welsh falls to the floor, coughing and sputtering. He looks up and sees something pointing out of the mummy's eye socket. Outcast-Ra turns around and Welsh sees a scepter of sorts sticking out of the back of the mummy's skull. Zybala is standing there looking triumphant, until the mummy takes a swing at him. Zybala ducks the blow and goes behind Outcast-Ra. He raises the world title and smashes it against the scepter, driving it deeper into the skull. The hole widens, spreading cracks throughout Outcast-Ra's skull. It turns to face the pair and Zybala limps a few steps back. Then, grabbing the title tight, Zybala ignores the pain of his bleeding leg, swings the belt forward with all his strength! It smashes right into the weakened head of the mummy, shattering it into pieces! The rest of the body crumbles and falls to the floor. :
Welsh: Good show! Well done! Now let us get out of here before Poblano comes back with more magical creepies.
Zybala: Not yet. I need to do something and I need your help with it.
: Welsh is confused by this statement. The confusion grows as Zybala lays on top of the body of Outcast-Ra, hooking it's leg. Zybala looks up at Welsh and then at the World Title and back at Welsh. Realization dawns in Welsh's eyes as he drops next to Zybala and smacks the ground three times. Zybala gets off of the decayed, rotten body of the once proud champion. Zybala grabs the world title as Welsh helps him stand up. Zybala slings the championship over his shoulder and puts his free arm around Welsh's shoulders. Welsh helps a victorious Zybala out of the crypt as the scene fades to black. :
