The scene opens to a scenic view of the Japanese countryside. The wind slowly but deliberately blows the pink blossom of trees towards the camera. It looks idyllic. The camera then pans down and the Japanese woman known only as ‘Matsuda’ walks into shot. She walks towards the camera with a confident stride - eyes unblinking. As she nears the camera, she politely bows.
Matsuda: I am Matsuda.
The camera then zooms upwards, taking in more idyllic shots of the view whilst Matsuda talks in voiceover.
Matsuda: I am Matsuda, and I am a true warrior of wrestling. I am descended from true honourable samurai. I use the samurai teachings to ensure that I bring honour to every battle. Though I have not been in a wrestling ring since Lord Allton-san’s federation closed, I am a three time women’s champion and when Allton-san asked me to return to help train Penny-chan, how could I refuse? Then he informs me that I can fight again? To battle again?
The camera pans down onto Matsuda again and she looks sternly, but respectfully into the camera.
Matsuda: I welcome it!
-------------------------
The camera then fizzles out and we cut to Key West Florida where we find Matsuda resting her arms on the boulevard, looking out towards the ocean allowing the sea breeze to flow over her hair.
RRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!
Matsuda turns around at the noise, finding a group of men running from a store.
Man: Hey! Ring the police, I’ve just been robbed!
Matsuda looks shocked and shakes her head. Rage builds up inside Matsuda as she chases after the men. The men get into a car but this doesn’t stop Matsuda. She leaps onto the back of the car, climbing onto the roof. The car swerves in and out of on-coming traffic in an attempt to shake Matsuda off. Somehow, however, she holds on!
Matsuda: Stop the vehicle!
Robber#1: Crazy bitch! How are you still holding on?! DRIVE FASTER!
Matsuda: Shit…
The car gets faster and faster and Matsuda struggles to hold on. To her favour though, the thieves eventually crash into an alleyway where Matsuda rolls from the roof, not moving. The thieves then climb out of the car and the main one aims a gun to her head. With her eyes closed she hears the click of the hammer and within seconds she sweeps the man’s leg, whilst at the same time, grabbing a hold of the wrist that holds the pistol and twists. She was playing possum! A second thief runs at her but she kicks him in the stomach, sending him to the floor. For the third and final man, Matsuda somersaults over the man and grabs him around the waist very quickly. Almost as soon as she does, she sends him backwards with a German suplex!!
Robber #3: Fuuuuuuuuuck!!
**crunch**
Dusting her hands down, Matsuda makes her way to the car and opens the front passenger door. There, situated on the seat is the thousands of dollars worth of jewelry that was stolen. Matsuda thinks about picking the bag up and returning it to the jewelry store but she can hear the faint sound of the authorities on their way to the scene. Matsuda decides to leave the bag on the seat and leave the area. The last thing she needs just before making a return to the wrestling ring after this many years is police arresting her and saying that she is unable to compete due to vigilantism.
As she passes a few shop windows she discovers that she has a few cuts and bruises on her face. So she heads into a cafe to clean herself up. Heading into the women’s bathroom she runs the cold water at the sink and splashes it a few times, staring at her reflection in the mirror.
Matsuda: Damn my sense of justice.
Matsuda then looks at the camera through the mirror and talks.
Matsuda: So Zybala-san and Rob-san have reached some agreement to have me compete at Outsider’s Ladies Night. And the very concept of Ladies Night is an honourable goal indeed, shining the light on the female talent of the wrestling business. Of this, I can only approve. However my opponent is not being revealed to me as they are a ‘surprise’, Well, it has to be said that I am not much of a fan of surprises. But I promise you and everyone watching one thing: I will fight until I cannot fight anymore! There is no glory in quitting. There is no honour in not fighting at all. So ‘surprise opponent’, whomever you may be… you can rest assured that Matsuda will be there to give you an honourable battle and I respectfully ask that you do the same.
However… if you dishonour our noble battleground of the wrestling arena...then I’m afraid that you will end up like the jewel thieves that I have just taken care of. Don’t get things twisted however, I am no superhero and I make no claims to be such a figure. I just have a high sense of moral fibre and a high sense of ‘right’ and ‘wrong’. I don’t know who you are but when the event comes around, I will bow in that sacred ring as a sign of respect to you. I trust that you can offer me the same courtesy. Oh… but make no mistake, I still intend on kicking your skull out of your head. I have been out of the wrestling business for some time, but am I washed up? Unable to fight? I am afraid not. We will fight at Ladies Night! Until our match…
Matsuda bows to the camera. She then continues washing her face, until the women’s bathroom door swings open and a female member of the cafe staff looks over with a look of concern. She goes to say something but Matsuda merely bows her head after washing her face some more and then leaves the cafe.
And then? Bzzzt.
