What’s up, OCW fiends! Leo the High School Intern back again with another LIST. You like my lists, don’t ya? I knew ya did.
OCW PPV’s are always full of intrigue. Everybody knows wild stuff goes down at an OCW PPV and House of Cards appears to be no exception. PPV nights in OCW are evenings in which ANYTHING can and often DOES happen.
This year we’ve got an OCW ‘veteran’ who barely registers as a footnote in OCW history challenging a big name Hollywood celebrity to a match at House of Cards. The celebrity in question is...Kevin Spacey.
And, yes, while Mr. Spacey has...well, enjoyed clearer skies in the past...he remains a major name in entertainment.
So, will Spacey show up and accept Harold’s challenge? I don’t think so. His social status aside...I just can’t see OCW eager to deal with the PR nightmare of having a man with Spacey’s reputation appearing at a marquee event.
The fact remains, Harold Jones will be at House of Cards and he will issue a challenge to Kevin Spacey.
I’ve compiled a list of FIVE names more likely to answer the challenge than Kevin Spacey.
Let’s dive in!
1) Jimmy Buffett
Because, why not? Buffett is a former owner of OCW. And, while he may have sold his ownership to Zybala in 2019, the man still enjoys a good time. Key West is his scene and the Margarita Mix (named in honor of Mr. Buffett) is returning. Maybe we’ll see Buffett answer Harold’s challenge...leading to a duet of sorts...Harold slinging jokes while Buffett belts out a live version of Margaritaville. I’d be down!
2) Gregory Poblano
OCW’s #1 financier! Mr. Poblano has been extremely visible lately on OCW programming. It would seem Mr. Poblano enjoys being in the spotlight. The spotlight will not shine brighter than this Sunday night. Could Gregory Poblano answer Harold’s challenge...using it as an opportunity to push one of his several business ventures? I wouldn’t doubt it! Be on the lookout for that super cool pepper!
3) Adi Gold
Miss OCW TV herself! Adi has been EVERYWHERE! Her OCW TV project has been a HUGE hit. She’s nothing short of a marketing guru. Do it bold. Do it GOLD. The people can’t get enough of this woman. With her OCW TV project off and running...House of Cards would be the perfect cross over event to gain further exposure! Perhaps she’ll respond to Harold’s challenge and offer him his very own show on the network. I’d like to see it!
4) Lou Pohl
Crash Rodriguez’s super eager, extremely competent and not-at-all shady attorney. Does Harold Jones have a potential argument Lou might be looking to champion? He seems close to getting his client, Crash Rodriguez a spot on the OCW roster. Might he be looking to do the same for Harold? Or, will Lou be waiting...hoping Spacey shows up. There’s a ton of legal issues surrounding Mr. Spacey...and, well, we know the maligned movie star has plenty of money. Could be a big pay day for Lou!
5) The Great One
TGO hasn’t been seen in OCW since he was mercilessly fired by Dean and Mario Maurako in the spring of 2014. His ego, finally, caught up to him. Nobody has heard from TGO since his termination. What’s he been up to? Is he even alive? Trevor Kent, despite the details behind his departure, will always loom as one of the largest figures in OCW’s history. The only man with the ego to think his presence might trump that of an A-List celebrity. Does TGO return to OCW? I doubt it. But, hey, it’s fun to wonder!
So, there ya go...five names more likely to confront Harold at House of Cards than Kevin Spacey.
How will Harold’s challenge turn out? You’re going to have to tune IN on Sunday to see for yourselves!
Until next time, I’m Leo! Signing OUT.
