[X[The scene opens up in the living room of a 1 bedroom apartment, we see a 5 year old boy sitting in front of a 19 inch television set. He is wearing a black t-shirt that has the picture of a Scorpion taped on it. On his hands you see two wrestling action figures… We can’t recognize which one is which though, as they are both badly worn, but the boy still holds on to them dearly. He watches the TV with eyes wide as can be, filled with excitement and his mouth wide open. We see his mom in the background, in the kitchen. She is smoking a cigarette while talking on the phone to someone about past due bills. Every now and then she takes a glimpse at his son and shakes her head in disapproval. The camera pans towards the TV so we can see what is on. As you might have guess, it’s wrestling… The federation is unknown but the two men wrestling are not: One is OCW Hall of Famer Scorpion, the other is GCWA Hall of Famer Punisher". Punisher has Scorpion ready to be put in the PainKiller, also known as a Sharpshooter in an alternative reality. The little boy stands up and screams NOOOO! as he drops his action figures. Punisher goes to spin around but Scorpion reaches for his head, pulling it in and rolls him up for a pin. One! The boy counts along, two... Three! YEY! he yells as he wipes the tears from his face. ]L]
Kid: Scorpion wins again! He always wins! When I grow up I want to be just like him… Like my hero! I’ll even call myself Venom in his honor… No, I’ll be Super Venom! Poisoning all evildoers who dare step on my way! Yeah!
[X[His mom drops the phone in the background, then covers her mouth in horror as tears begin to roll down her face… The scene fades to black…. ]L]
Very few people make good on their promise as a kid when they become an adult, let alone follow in the footsteps of the hero they idolized. But I was one of those few, no, I am one of those few. Here I stand before you, one of the elite eight signed to OCW to fight for one of four championships at a Pay-Pay-View called Quarantined.
OCW... to think that I would one day wrestle in the federation that my hero Scorpion helped make famous is crazy. To know that I have a chance at winning one of the titles he held proudly and defended so fiercely against anyone and everyone it is simply... mind blowing.
Ever since I can remember, I have loved wrestling. If there was wrestling on TV I would sit down and watch it. My Mom would tell me to go out and play, or even worst, go read or do homework, but if wrestling was on, there was nothing she could do; I was glued to the TV from beginning to end. I remember watching the greats, but none of them grabbed me like Scorpion did. The commentators always wanted me to cheer for what they thought a hero should be. If not the good looking, charming wrestler, the 'ha-ha, look at me I'm funny' wrestler, or the cool guy or even the 'I am a larger than life' character when in reality, all he or they really were-were big fat pieces of shit. But Scorpion, man, he was the dude-he was my hero. Maybe it was that he was fierce and vicious... Maybe it was because he didn't care how he looked, bald and all tattooed. Maybe because he was all business, always, though later in his career he did kind of lose his marbles and also was an assassin? Did not see that coming, but anyway… Maybe it was simply his 'fuck you' attitude towards everyone and anyone, but specially the people he feuded with.
All I knew then was that when I had the chance, I was going to try to be like him in every way possible.
We all hope to be like our heroes, and some, hope to be like their parents who they also see as heroes... Boys specially hope to be as strong and brave and true as their fathers, but I didn't have one of those growing up, I never met him, so I clung on to Scorpion... What I did not know then was that a few years later, Scorpion would step in to become just that, my father, my real father, just not in the way I would have ever thought possible.

[X[The scene opens back up, and we see a much younger… Paco? Yes, the manager of hall of famers, former Insane-Bowl winning coach and last, but definitely not least, hall of fame commentator. "The Drinking Time Bomb" stands in the middle of the living room of a two-bedroom apartment looking very nervous as he awaits someone to come into the room; that someone is Venom.
Xavier Lux, who is now 21 years old looks great and has a great athletes physique, looking very much like Scorpion minus the tattoos but sporting the shaved head look. He brings a woman with him and upon seeing her, Paco buries his face on his hands, clearly not expecting the woman, Xavier’s Mom, who is looking very tired and much older than what she really is. ]L]
Xavier: Look Paco, it’s mom! I ran into her coming out of the gym. She’s just as worried as you are about the whole assassination thing…
What assassination thing you are probably asking yourself? Well, when I first started my career, I made the mistake of not listening to my Godfather’s advice, Paco for those of you who don’t know, and right after graduating wrestling school I went into underground wrestling. Honestly, I only had one match because I quickly signed to NLW but that one fight would cost me dearly as I ended up injuring the guy I wrestled badly; not on purpose of course, but shit happens. The guy went into a comma and it turns out he was the son of some big mafia boss who spoiled him rotten. So long story short, daddy dearest put a hit out on me and so for weeks after, this guy tried to killed me, failing miserably until this very moment we are about to recap.
But before we get into that, let me talk about two of my fellow elitist as they are two names I am very familiar with. First, and on top of that list for me as far as who will challenge me for these titles, is the one called Outcast. Now it’s been a few weeks if not months since my last match, but this guy was in that match with me. I don’t know if you got history here in OCW or not, but that doesn’t really matter, what matters is the history you and I got. You and I along with two others fought in a number one contenders match in GCWA and you not only came up short, you finish a distant fourth while I, well I won that whole fucking thing. Unfortunately I didn’t get my World Title shot, but here I find myself again getting a shot at the World Title among others and you happen to be in my way again. I don’t know what you have been up to in the last couple of months but the end result will be the same: me winning, you a distant fourth, or worst, 8th.
Second on my list is Dylan Thomas, another guy who I have a lot of history with. Not only did we have a nice feud going that ended in Marcus and I kicking you and your so-called A-List asses, but before that you and I had a great one on one match up. Do you remember how that ended Dylan or have you blocked that memory out? I wouldn’t blame you if you did because honestly, for someone who talks a big game, someone who thinks so highly of himself, he can’t really back it up or deliver it. When was the last time you actually won something that was worth a damn? When was the last time you did something besides your wife? What has changed since the last time we faced Dylan? I mean you sure have come in hot to OCW, taking the place of the so-called champion and having the oddsmakers salivating over your chances of winning. But has it? For your sake, I hope so, or you'll be right behind Outcast if not first out.
Let me just say by the way, Mack O’Connor, this is the second time faith has interfered and we won’t be facing each other. I am owed an opportunity whenever GCWA opens up, but here, you seem to be burnt out and want nothing to do with the current competition or the title you hold. Well, I find that disappointing, specially when the guy they got to replace you, Dylan Thomas, just doesn’t measure up. But make no mistake about it O’Connor, one day, sooner or later, you and I will have to meet and when we do, it will be a helluva of a fight because I will definitely bring one to you.
Anyway, back to the story.
[X[Just then a man steps out from behind the curtains, and now we realize why Paco was looking like he just gulped down 20 chimichangas. The assassin, we assume, is dressed all in black with a black ski mask on and sports a gun on each hand, each with a silencer on. He points one at Paco, and one at Lux. ]L]
Assassin: As well as she should be.
Xavier: Who the hell are you?!
Assassin: Damn it kid, I thought you were smart, you can’t put two and two together? I’m the man that has been hired to kill you.
[X[Xavier doesn’t let the news bother him and he starts to go after the assassin but he reminds him of the gun pointed right at his head… Xavier takes a few steps back, holding his mom behind him. ]L]
Paco: Don’t do this man.. I thought you were retired! Why come back for a kid who means nothing and has done nothing wrong?!
Xavier: Paco you know this guy? Who is this?
Assassin: I thought I was going to retire too… but they wouldn’t let me retire until I did one more job… This kid is my last contract Paco… After him, I’m done..
Paco: But you can’t.. Not him… Please.. you don’t understand…
Xavier: Understand what Paco?! Who the hell is this!?
Assassin: It doesn’t matter who I am kid… all that it matters is that you are about to take your last breath.. So make it a good one.. ready? Go…
Xavier: Wait a damn minute… Fine.. If you are going to smoke me… Go ahead… But at least… let me see the face of my killer… Let me take to the grave the face of the man whom I will be waiting for in hell to pay him back.
Paco: Mi’jo, no!
[X[The Assassins laughs but agrees to reveal himself; showing only a mask underneath so not a real reveal. He points both guns at Xavier. ]L]
Assassin: You really think I would show you my face? Please, just remember this mask and get ready to die…
[X[Just then, Lux’s mom jumps in front of him…]L]
Mom: JAVIER! DON’T DO IT!
Xavier: Uh, mom… I’m not the one with the gun..
Assassin: She said Javier, no Xavier… How do you know me? I have a mask on! And how the hell do you know my name?
Mom: Javier please… don’t… he’s…
Assassin: How do you know my name?!
Xavier: Yes Mom, how?!
Mom: He’s… your… father…
Xavier & Javier: WHAT?!
Mom: I… I… knew him as Javier long ago… but you know him as…
Paco: Scorpion….
