(OOC: Will add more later)
Name: Mack O’Connor
Hometown:
Brooklyn, New York
Height:
6'3"
Weight:
230lbs.
Theme Music:
"Vagabond” by the Greenskeepers
Entrance:
As his music hits, he walks out on the stage and walks directly to the ring, dressed in jeans (black or blue) and a black tank top. He occasionally raises an arm to acknowledge and get a rise out of the fans. He slides into the ring and starts pacing in his corner. He doesn’t talk trash to his opponent but he makes sure to stare them down, letting them know he means business.
Finishing Maneuver:
Claymore – Rock Bottom, but with both arms hooked rather than one
Trademark Moves:
Hollow Point: Stone Cold Stunner to the opponent’s temple
Fighter Profile:
A straight up brawler. Rarely going for submission/technical moves, rather opting for strikes and impact moves. A trained boxer, he tends to utilize jab-hook combinations and haymakers. His moves tend to be simple but strong, such as snap DDTs and quick powerslams.
Although he tends to not use submissions, he will settle with the Figure Four when push comes to shove.
Although honorable in the ring, he is not one to shy away from pushing the boundaries of the rules. Also very good in a hardcore environment, being very efficient at utilizing any and all potential weapons in his environment.
Biography:
Born in Brooklyn, his mother died while giving birth to him. At the age of five, he witnessed his father (an Irish gangster) being beaten and shot in the head by Italian gangsters. He was moved to Los Angeles to live with his uncle, a high member in the Irish mob. Dropping out of high school at the age of 15, he started working with his uncle. He proved himself quickly, and by the time he was 18 he was working as an enforcer. It was during his time as an enforcer that he met Treat Cassidy several times in passing.
At the age of 25, Mack went on a job with several associates to take care of an informant. The job was a set-up, and Mack was barely able to get out without being arrested or killed. He did, however, take a bullet to the gut. He began to rethink his life, for obvious reasons. Once he recovered, he spoke with his uncle and other leaders in the Irish mob. After lengthy discussions, they gave their consent and blessing for him to leave the organization.
Not sure what to do with his life and low on cash, he fell back on the only thing he knew: How to fight. He began participating in underground fights. Pit fights, cage fights, even wagered fights on the streets. He made a name for himself in the underground scene, traveling around the country to Chicago, New York, Miami, San Antonio, and more. After a big pit fight in Chicago, he was approached by a former acquaintance: Treat Cassidy. After a conversation over drinks, Mack expressed his desire for something more. Treat told him he would see what he could do. A few weeks later, Treat introduced him to the EMF. Mack signed a contract in January 2014 and began his wrestling career.
Within three months he became Intercontinental Champion, breaking a record streak by Troy Gafgen. After losing the title back to Gafgen he went on to become the Extreme Champion of the EMF, breaking another record reign held by The Rock.
Although breaking two streaks and being somewhat successful in the EMF, Mack felt frustrated with the feeling that he was being held back. Mack reconnected with Cassidy, and for several months the two spoke of a possible deal. Finally, in late July of 2014 they signed a contract and Mack O’Connor became a competitor in the OCW.
