What did those FCC guys mean when they declared her "cancelled"?
Here's the exclusive scoop on what happened to Chelsea after her match against Andrea Hernandez, what this actually means for her future and whether or not she will actually return to OCW.
We can confirm that Chelsea's own mother... who is a television industry veteran and who has "some sway in things"... was responsible for this development. While it wasn't necessarily a kidnapping... as Chelsea is said to be safe and sound now... the meaning of "cancelled" in the context of what was witnessed on Monday night is not Chelsea LeClair leaving OCW... but rather... her in her present state being "cancelled". It is said that she's being taken off television for the time being to be "repackaged" as her mother, as well as some people in the OCW locker room, feel that Chelsea's career has fallen off a cliff since being pinned by an 80-year-old man in that triple threat match also involving Ed Houston. Andrea Hernandez herself openly discussed this during her pre-match promo in great detail and many agree this moment "severely destroyed her confidence" (hence why she rarely took bookings afterward). This "repackaging" is said to be an effort to wipe the slate clean for a future OCW return at SOME point, though exactly when she's going to return is unclear.
For now... "Chelsea TV", "Chelsea Dirt Sheet" and basically everything that has turned her into a massive joke (in the eyes of her mother, the FCC, Andrea and definitely a large portion of the locker room) will essentially be ended immediately. This move was done in order for Chelsea to be spared from being seen as another Ubertaker, Jack Puffer, Great Scott, etc.
