Biography
Treat Cassidy got his start in show business in 1999 as he was cast on the show, 7th Heaven as Mitchell Dawes, Lucy’s (played by Beverly Mitchell) high school love interest, Cassidy was able to become a recurring character on the show for two seasons (14 episodes total.) During this time, he began schooling in Sports Management at “The U.” University of Miami.
Having always been a fan of professional wrestling, Treat got his start in the industry when he got an opportunity with XHWF as producer’s assistant for their weekly show, Saturday night Slaughter. Cassidy eventually rose through the ranks under Pres. Eastman, who then became Slaughter’s lead writer.
When XHWF closed, Cassidy went over to NWF owned by Trent Medlow and Mike Williams. Cassidy became lead writer for their premiere weekly show, Mayhem. NWF is also where he became an on-air personality, hosting his own show called ‘Even F’N Later with Treat Cassidy’. The show was a weekly 1-hour long show where he ran down match predictions, highlights from the previous show, and spread rumors about each superstar.
It was NWF where Treat Cassidy met Chad Vargas. Vargas was a undercard talent with heaps of potential. Cassidy felt Medlow and Williams we’re keeping Vargas down. Vargas was young, and his ceiling was high. Cassidy figured he could assist Vargas in negotiating better matches featuring better opponents. Cassidy had his bachelor’s degree by this point, and was contemplating leaving the sport to represent MLB players, as Cassidy had an immense passion for baseball.
This was not the case though, as Chad Vargas retained him as his agent. The first of many wrestling greats to of had Cassidy on retainer. Cassidy who also had his law degree, began representing Vargas on a litany of charges he picked up over the years. Cassidy was also Trent Medlow and the entire NWF’s attorney during his time with NWF.
NWF closed in 2005 and Cassidy bought a house in the outskirts of Nashville, he remained Vargas’ agent as Vargas spent a lot of time bouncing from promotion to promotion on the independent circuit. Cassidy also had a day job at Morgan and Billings, defending clients accused of jaywalking to murder.
In 2008, Cassidy helped land Vargas a multi-million dollar deal with EWL and President Dwayne Blair. Vargas went on to be the longest reigning Intercontinental champion whilst being a star there. Under Cassidy’s leadership, Vargas would also defeat Chris Legend at the July PPV: High Noon for the World Heavyweight Championship title. Vargas would hold the championship until EWL’s closing, thus making him the last reigning championship. While in EWL, Cassidy also represented Spike Love and Mike Williams, the latter coming out of retirement to compete within EWL. Love and Williams also had successful careers under Cassidy, both winning championships along the way.
When EWL closed, Cassidy and company went to EMF, where they spent 6 tumultuous years under President Mike Walker. Vargas had a subpar career there as he was constantly being suspended and held down. Cassidy managed to do all right for himself there, picking up his own show ‘A Midnight Treat’ where he would do reviews, previews, gossip column and featured a new guest every week, much similar to his program at NWF during his early days.
Whilst representing Vargas, Cassidy also represented Tag team champions, Myke Hawke and Brandon Eastman, Intercontinental champion, Kevin Bourne and former World Heavyweight champion, Ricky Ramon.
Vargas’ returned to EMF in 2013 after nearly 2 years away from the sport, Vargas was pushed to the moon. He won 5 straight matches in route to a World Heavyweight triple threat bout pitting him against Mark Hunter and Michael Cena at March’s PPV: Dark Horizon. Vargas gave it his all, but at the end of the match, Vargas was screwed and the EMF saw Cena retain the belt. Vargas snapped, he quit the EMF but before doing so, he snapped Shockwave GM Shane Anderson’s neck, broke Mickie Cena’s nose (Michael Cena) and choked the crap out of President Walker. Vargas would be arrested later that night.
After the meltdown at Dark Horizon, Vargas contemplated retirement. After everything that had happened in EMF, Cassidy left as well, leaving his show behind him. He also pooled his clients together, and they all left with him, leaving EMF to die a slow pitiful (Zeus Pro results written) death.
Cassidy was able to get a nice contract with a great promotion with a lot of rich history, Online Championship Wrestling in early 2014. Cassidy was able to secure a Hardcore championship match between Vargas and Grenier at Sinful Nature. Cassidy and Vargas’ relationship soured a little as Cassidy was also representing Grenier at the time. The match never took place however as President Dean abruptly closed OCW.
With the fate of OCW hanging in the balance, Cassidy took his own money and stockpiled it into OCW. Dean, being burnt out and ready to put wrestling in his rearview mirror, handed the company to Cassidy. Much of the roster parted ways with Dean, but many also we’re intrigued by Cassidy and stuck around. Having core veterans added with new blood Cassidy signed, OCW’s future was very promising.
Perhaps one of Cassidy’s claim to fames is the kick off PPV: Genesis, hosted in Jerusalem. It featured an Internet Championship on a Cross match, and a highly touted Main Event, a triple threat match to crown the first OCW champion since Scott Syren in 2005. It featured PerZag, Danny B, and MJ Bell, with MJ Bell coming out top as new champion.
Cassidy openly breaks kayfabe over and over again while on topic of Genesis, claiming he is the mastermind behind booking MJ Bell as 'his' champion.

Genesis was a hit, to some a cult classic. A few weeks after however, bills began showing past due. Between the trip to Jerusalem and Cassidy’s VP, Jack Kenny was embezzling what money they did have. Around this time Dean came out of hibernation and wanted to move forward with OCW as the president again, Cassidy resigned as president and a few short months after Dean’s return, he closed OCW again. Cassidy this time would be unavailable to take over even if he was asked as he moved on to take J.Rish's role as President of CWR.
Danny B restarted the CWR, a sequel to J. Rish’s CWF. Treat Cassidy landed the job as President. Many former OCW superstars came over to compete. However, CWR wasn’t the company OCW was and folded rather quickly.
Treat Cassidy had ran into his former EWL client, Mike Williams. They bought some property in Nashville, and together with Chad Vargas started Nashville Wrestling Federation. Cassidy didn’t want to be the president, he wanted to kick back and do work behind the scenes, and do what he does best, scout talent. Cassidy and Williams hired Russell Fraser to be the NWF’s President. However, Nashville proved to be a bad venue for Professional Wrestling at the time, and was closed down shortly thereafter.
Cassidy went back to Miami and re-started his own law practice. He also moved Cassidy Global Sports LLC, his sports agency to Miami from New York. Cassidy was set to finish out his career under the radar when OCW was rebooted in 2017, still being backed by Jimmy Buffet, but with a new man in Marcus Welsh in the driver’s seat. Being that the ‘new’ OCW was based in Key West, Cassidy called Vargas and got him back in under his grandfathered 2015 contract to the dismay of new boss, Welsh. Cassidy also got Mack O’Connor back in, and is in the process of signing new and ‘old’ superstars to OCW under the Cassidy Global banner.
In 2017, Vargas and O'Connor along with former OCW champion MJ Bell formed 'The Clientele' and feuded with The Aptitude. The stable consisting of Matt Meyhu, The Incredible One, and CJ O'Donnell. The hatred between the two groups boiled over a few months. 2017 was what Chad Vargas lovingly refers to as WEAK ASS BOOKING. After the 2017 OCW run ended, The Clientele disbanded and none of them thought much about wrestling until OCW rebooted yet again in 2018.......
