Success can be dependent on your drive to succeed. Your positive energy. Your flow.
We see Peter Vaughn from the side, his eyes closed. He is swaying almost in meditation.
The extra energy required to try something different could be the secret to winning.
The camera zooms out to see Vaughn on a ladder, in front of what looks like a badly placed electronic box. He opens his eyes and looks at the wiring again.
Okay, c’mon, Peter, you can do this. Make your teachers at John DeCant’s Janitorial Online University proud. The red wire goes here.
Vaughn traces the first wire, which he has already connected.
So the yellow wire… the yellow wire goes…
Vaughn tries hard to think but he has other things on his mind.
Dammit. Where’s the yellow wire go? Every time I try to concentrate, I keep thinking about that Uber man. Talking about how I’ll feel his force deep inside me… I like women. Love them. I date all the time… sometimes… when someone asks me. I didn’t join OCW to be raped. And he’s a custodian? Dean told me I was the only one! Course he also told me he would reimburse me. I’m sure he’s working on it. Dean wouldn’t lie to me.
Vaughn shifts the ladder over to get closer. The ladder tips but rebalances.
Why did I have to get someone like this for my first match? I hate masked guys. They’re so creepy.
Vaughn shudders. Some of his worst experiences have come against masked wrestlers.
You never know what’s under the mask. Well, except this time, because he unmasked. But it’s still creepy when he wears it. Germs and all.
Vaughn unconsciously wipes his hands on his shirt, thinking about what could be under there.
But I will be brave. I didn’t come back just to be a joke… again. Dean said he thought I could be great and that’s what I’m going to strive for. The Uber man will just have to go back to driving his car and being an assistant after I am through with him. Yeah. Yeah, that’s right. Now back to the wiring. The yellow wire… goes here!
Vaughn takes a deep breath and grabs the wire, attaching it to where he thinks it goes. Nothing happens. No sparks or anything. Vaughn smiles thinking that he’s right, and reaches for the last wire sticking out. But the ladder slips again, nearly falling, and Vaughn grabs the exposed wire with one hand, hanging on until he gets his balance. He then realizes what he just did, and lets go of the exposed cord. Vaughn takes a moment to breathe a sigh of relief. But then he thinks about it. After a second, Vaughn turns and yells down to the people below.
Anyone know if President Dean ever got around to getting the electricity turned back on?
Vaughn shakes his head and goes back to fixing the final wire. We fade to black.
